We arrived much later than expected but Julie was very flexible with us. the trailer is so cozy and truly a unique experience. Julie and her partner are very welcoming and nice people- definitely recommend this air bnb!
Julie did an excellent job at responding to written questions I had about our stay and what to expect while there. What we would need to bring to be comfortable. Unfortunately due to a stomach illness we were only able to stay three hours on the bus and then had to leave to go back home. The bus is beautiful. It has the feel of going back in time, to some place you feel safe and cared for. It smells like poetry and leaves a similar impression that a vintage book might have on the senses. All around the bus the ground is covered in moss and fallen leaves. The woods are quiet and the rainfall that moved in while we were there added to the beauty of living free of the bondage and entrapment of city life. I was heartbroken to leave. I hope to go back later in the year when it would be optimal to stay . The place is enchanting. It is for those who see beauty in the simple and those who enjoy intimacy without distraction.
Julie was a lovely host, very welcoming, and this place is by far one of my favorites on airbnb! I got there around 10pm, due to traffic, but Julie was very kind and showed me around the place. The bus itself is so charming, cozy, clean, and the decoration is very rustic. I slept to the sounds of nature, which was so soothing and I had a great, comfortable sleep. Also, the stars!! You can see them all. Absolutely loved the outdoor shower as well; it was very refreshing. Being off-grid in the woods was unique and truly intriguing. Also was able to drive to Pittsboro and Chapel Hill in about 10/20 min. The area around is beautiful -- first time in NC, and it definitely won't be my last. Loved this so much, that I'm already planning my next trip back to this bus! Thank you Julie! :-)
always really great staying on the bus! I would live there if I could. And Julie is always very kind.
Julie was cleaning up the bus when we arrived and was very nice. That was the only time we seen her during our 2 day visit. This is in a remote area very quiet but just off the road and just behind her house. Outhouse for #2, outdoor shower for bathing (which was amazing actually), bus does get very warm though and at night had no fan to use to cool down luckily by morning it had cooled down though. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to Pittsboro from the bus. Was nice to listen to the sounds of nature at night. Coyotes sure did let lose very close the 2nd night. Was a great adventure. I would recommend a bug spray possible for bees/spiders as they are common down there.
An incredible experience. Julie was so welcoming and friendly. Err enjoyed heating about the buses history and what is like living off the grid. Highly recommended!
I really enjoyed my stay, exactly as described, and great to experience an electrical storm from the silence of the woods! A really unique experience.
When we saw Julie's listing, we were completely sold. A solar-powered bus in the woods of North Carolina?? Yes, please! We were taking a delayed honeymoon/road trip, and believe me, we saved the best for last. Julie was kind enough to share the story of the bus with us. Fascinating; I.encourage guests to inquire! We were completely at ease the moment we arrived, and loved every moment we were there. I only wish we could have stayed longer! The bus was every bit as awesome as we'd anticipated, and the setting was just as perfect. We fell asleep to the sounds of nature and woke to the CRAZY thunderstorm we were about to drive up in, bus shaking with each rumble; it was excellent. Truly, I wish we could've stayed to experience it. We rushed out before the rain was upon us, but even that was eerily calm and enjoyable. I would go back, a million times. I wish we weren't so far away, but assuredly, the experience did not disappoint, and when our travels bring us back to NC, we'll be sure to book with Julie again. Amazing, just incredible. :-)
The bus was quite charming--pretty rustic. Just be aware that you have to pee in the woods. Julie was nice!
Julie was awesome, she helped us get settled when we got there at 10pm and showed us the ins and outs of the bus. The bus itself was incredible and very comfortable to sleep in. We felt complete safe the entire stay.
My and her daughter was very nice, respectful and quiet as well. If you will host them you almost won't notice they are at home!
Good luck for everything girls!
