Apartment as described! Convenient to T-Line stops. Easy to get downtown. Grocery and restaurant a quick walk across the street. Very accommodating host, much appreciated!
The apartment was super convenient with a T stop 1 block in either direction...so depending on how tired we were the decision was did we want to walk uphill or down. It was spacious, clean, comfy and nice to have a space all to ourselves. There is a chaise in the living room that was so comfy I was loathe to get off it! ;) It is only about 15-20 minutes to get downtown on the T. We ran in Marathon weekend events and really enjoyed the easy convenience of getting to and from. We would definitely stay here again!!
Though we never met while we were in Pittsburgh, Lucie was quick to respond to all of my questions and flexible with our groups needs. While we were there, we had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen (in terms of utensils, etc.). The townhouses themselves are situated really close to the train into the city, and while on first glance the neighborhood doesn't look super exciting, it's got a lot to offer-- including a small market, bar, and coffee shop all on the block.
We were 5 girls visiting Pittsburgh. Lucie was very prompt in answering all my queries. The house is old but well kept. The area is ok however very close to downtown, you get what you pay for. House has all the amenities.
The house was basic but a comfortable & affordable place for the week. I never met Lucie but she was helpful & responsive by text & and arrangements were smooth. Comfy beds, great shower and fast Wifi.
The street and trolley noise made it hard to sleep until late and the neighbors were talking/partying loudly on Saturday night. But the neighborhood is overall calm & friendly.
Lucie's place was perfect!
It was clean and had the ideal charm, characteristics and warmth of a humble city home. It was right along the T-line which made transportation easily accessible and inexpensive.
Lucie was a wonderful host and timely responsive to any inquiries. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Pittsburgh!
Lucie was a great hostess. Even though we never saw her, she was easy to communicate with through texts or emails. The townhouse was just as it was described and very comfortable. There is a store right down the block that has a deli and anything else we needed. There was a lot of street noise from the trolley cars, but we got used to it and it was not a problem for us. The trolley station is just a block away. We would stay here again if we ever need to return to Pittsburgh!
My family and I stayed here after having surgery at UPMC. The location was relatively close and easy to get to the hospitals. (about 15 minutes depending on traffic) Be ready for driving some serious hills, but I guess that's most of Pittsburgh! The apartment was simply furnished and very clean, with a small, but functional kitchen.
The main downside was the couch in the living room was so uncomfortable and low to the ground that we all were using the straight back chairs from the dining room instead of the couch. It was super low to the ground and overly broken down, which was not ideal for recovering from a serious surgery, or honestly just hanging out on. It was uncomfortable enough that we decided to rent couches for the second week. If you are out and about everyday exploring the city, the couches would not be a big deal. If you are just going to be at the apartment the majority of the time (like I had to be to recover), it could be a problem.
Stayed a couple of nights on a work trip. Convenient location, just minutes from a T stop. Nice historic house and comfortable bed. The neighbourhood is very interesting and a great coffee shop on the street. Didn't meet Lucie but communication was quick and helpful and no problem getting and returning the keys.
If you are a light sleeper than the road noise could be a problem. Saying that whilst I found it difficult to sleep the first night, particularly as the neighbours started a loud and audible conversation at 4.30 in the morning, the second night I slept soundly without interruption.
Didn't use the washer/ dryer as in a different building although instructions on how to find it.
We had a wonderful visit, very clean and all appliances avaliable for us. Perfect location. Ten out of ten
