Excellent location and nice neighborhood! Close to main tourist attractions. Will definitely go back again.
It's indeed a cozy and clean place to stay for visting Paris. Although it's a big small for 3 of us but we like the location. It's easy to get to via AirFrance shuttle from CDG, and it's about 10min walk to Metro station Porte Mallot (thru Concord Hotel basement level).
The apartment was fine, pretty much as advertised. In a nice and safe area, a bit of a walk to the metro and with good fast internet. No "surprises." It was reasonably priced and support from Airbnb was very good. Knowing what we do now, I would stay again. The problems were the instructions to get into the place, that previous guest was still in the apartment and that no one showed up when they were supposed to be there. Raphael Saclé, the owner, was in New York, while we and the apartment were in Paris. He emailed to meet his sister at noon. She never showed up. There were two coded security gates to go through. Although Raphael texted us both codes and the internet access code, it was not immediately apparent that there were two gates with two separate codes. "The apartment was to the left of the elevator." Which one on the left, since there were two, neither one had an apartment number or a key under the mat, as promised. Standing with our luggage outside the apartment, we made a series of international calls from our mobile phone to Raphael and airbnb, with only airbnb answering our calls, them very sympathetic but unable to do much with Raphael Saclé not available to them either. Nearly 2 hours after our meeting time, Raphael Saclé's mother arrived. She let us into the apartment. To all of our dismay, we found that the previous tenants had overstayed their visit with their luggage still in the apartment. A lovely and understanding woman, she had us leave our luggage in the apartment, told us the 'squatters' would be out of the apartment, the housekeeper would be by soon to clean the place and promised the key would be under the mat when we returned in 2 more hours. When we returned at 4, all was as promised. too bad it was 4 hours late, eating into our day in Paris and causing us to miss a connection with friends. It's really all part of the travel experience. We would rent again from Raphael just to speak with his mother.
Excellent position, acess to Metro and Airport shuttle was a breeze. Apartment was clean and comfortable with all facilities. Host was very helpful in setttling in us in. We enjoyed our stay and would like to return to Paris again.
Nice place close to public transport, lots of cafes, and 3 supermarkets. Once you closed the shutters there was barely any noise from the road and passers by.Lovely big bathroom and kitchen facilities good but not much cutlery or cups, can tell he is single and doesn't need much. The three locks on the door a bit tricky but once we mastered them we were ok. Fairly central to explore beautiful Paris. Bed so so comfortable and towels big and fluffy.Jenni and Wayne (Aussies exploring Europe)
Very nice appartment in a beautiful building and although on the map it looks like it is next to "peripherique", it is very calm, as the highway is covered by a sport's field. Very well connected, either by metro or by bus (that I recommend as a way of transport). Very nice and helpfull contact with Raphael and his family. Thank you, Raphael.
Great value for money. The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is huge. In the kitchen you can find all relevant appliances for cooking.
The location is great, especially if you need to get to or from the Beauvais airport because the buses leave from Port Maillot which is 5 minutes walk away.
Also, Raphael (the owner) was very nice!
It was a pleasure having Raphael in my space.
Raphael stayed with us for two weeks. He was very clean and responsible. Very easy to get along with and respected the house rules. We would definitely host him again.
Raphael is an intelligent, fastidious, entrepreneurial and friendly guy whom I have known since he was about 17 years old. He came to us as an exchange student from Paris at that time and our families have been close friends ever since. Raph is loyal, honest, fun-loving and a really hard worker. He is also much wiser than his years. Anyone who hosts Raph will be thrilled to have him there.
