Response from Cheri:
If we knew starting this stay that people like Rose would be actually using us to keep their house safe, we definitely would not have been PAYING to stay there to watch their house. Not sure how it is the guests fault that you had to pay some one to take care of pool AND more money was spent then made on a reservation. Yes, we made a mistake booking your home for two months. AND WE FOLLOWED AIRBNB RULES. That is why they have a 30 day cancellation policy. What we didn't expect was to be so rudely spoken to on several emails after making the decision to leave and after following proper guidelines of airbnb. You have truly soured our experience and I hope any new traveller avoids not only your home but your kind of person . Also, if it wasn't for our ride, (friend of theirs) we would not have found keys to get in, how to operate ANYTHING in the house. Lightbulbs were out going down stairs so it was extremely dangerous if you didn't have a flashlight or put every light on down stairs before dark. Spider webs in oven and shelves and rooms even though stating the house was JUST CLEANED. The house either smells like urine or mildew in every room. The couch is an outdoor couch that gets wet when it rains. Just out of curiosity, WHERE ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO SIT AT YOUR HOUSE WHEN IT RAINS????? And as far as leaving early, we paid fully for our month and left the area a few days early to avoid road closures due to bad weather. did not know it was our responsibly to WATCH the home. There is nothing on AIRBNB that states we MUST stay until last day. What is wrong here Rose is you using us to watch your house for you. We are truly sorry this reservation did not work for either party. We followed all Airbnb rules and left the home in perfect condition, cleaner then when we arrived.
