I live in Portobello, Edinburgh with my wife Jane and 14 year-old son, Callum. We have a lovely old house with a cat and a garden full of fruit trees.
I work as a web developer, as part of graphics coop, a worker's co-operative. We do graphic design and build websites for voluntary organisations and social enterprises. Jane works in the disability movement and is into knitting, singing, playing the cello and gardening. Callum plays the trombone and makes movies.
I've travelled in the past to north and south America, Europe, New Zealand, and I love meeting other travellers and finding out about our respective cultural quirks. Nowadays we like to avoid travelling by plane, and a few years back we had an exciting overland trip to Greece.
We're very much involved in various campaigns for social change, including Trident Ploughshares (nuclear disarmament), and Transition Towns. We sing with Edinburgh street choir Protest in Harmony. We are also Quakers.
