notre halte chez Erika à Milan fut parfaite !
Bonne organisation, appartement confortable, gentils chats et la gare à 5 minutes. Nous recommandons !
Erika was a great host and her flat was very convenient and comfortable to stay in. She also has two delightful cats who made our stay extra special.
What you see is what you get. Thuis is cozy apartment with kitchen, roof terras and a bedroom with a great bed. We are cat lovers so we loved that two cats were greeting us every morning. The apartment is close to the central station so from here you can go anywhere in the city. Just a shame that they were renovating the flats across the street, since that caused a lot of noise.
Erika was great and very nice and communicative. We could not wish for a better host. She staid at her boyfriend's apartment during our stay, but was always close by when we needed something.
Erika was very sweet to me, even considering I was ignorant and didn't get the directions right. She is pleasant and very easy to talk to. The room is very conveniently located. Expect a lot of stairs to climb but as I'm learning that is typical Italy! Her two cats were sweet. One of them slept with me, which I didn't mind. You can close the door if you like, but I am a cat lover! The room was very noisy from 7 am due to major construction next door, but I stuck my earplugs in and went right back to sleep. Actually the next day it helped me get up early for the next leg of my trip. The room is bare bones, budget, friendly. I would go again.
Erika was an exceptional host. The apartment was 5 minutes away from the main train station and next to a great supermarket! She was a very kind a friendly woman. The terrace in the apartment was phenomenal and having breakfast on the terrace was one of the highlights of our stay in Milan. But we got more!!! Having her friend who was incredibly cool became our information center just because he was simply a great knowledgeable person that we got to meet because of Erika, and that was a huge plus in Milan, we discover much more because of his guidance. Overall, a huge positive vibe from the host and her very cool friend. We left to Venice with a big smile. Thank u so much for being so cool and hospitable!!! Everything was just as described and even better!! We will definitely come back to see our new friends!
Great place to crash while visiting Milan. Very close to Milano centrale! Overall a perfect stay, thank you!
A friend and I stayed in Erika's apartment for one night at the end of our Florence/Venice trip to be closer to Malpensa airport for early departure. Erika was very accommodating and provided us with water and full use of anything in the apartment, as needed. The room was clean and she provided a city map and subway map. The apartment is a short walk from Milano Centrale Train Station which makes it very easy for a pass through traveler, or someone who plans to take the subway around Milan. I took a star away for the fact that it is up 5 flights of steps with no lift, and at the time I had a severely sprained ankle and a huge suitcase.
Erika did not stay in the apartment that night, and I think the room was her only personal room so that's why. She has a male flatmate and two cats, all of which did not pose any problem to me. The cats were very lovable, but shed a bit, so if you have allergies, it may not be the place for you. If you bring a padlock, you can lock the door yourself from the outside if you leave the apartment and want to secure your things. I did not lock it and actually left the room door open, by accident, and everything was left alone while we were out.
I didn't notice much in the immediate area of the apartment for sightseeing, but used the subway until 9pm and walked from Ticinese all the way back, through the Duomo area, and back to the apartment. The subways were closed at 9pm and NO cabs were available, so we had no choice. I don't know f it's typical for the subways to close, and did not know the trolley and bus system so just walked home.
All in all, it was exactly what I needed for the brief time I was there.
perfectly clean nearby a grocery store, good connection with the metro. Only thing - our wallet got lost, we left it on the bed and went for a 15min walk, when we came back, it wasnt there. The host wasnt in the house in that time but there was her room-mate so nobody could just randomly walk in and take it.
Erikas place is very convenient, close to the tram/metro/busses which will take you anywhere in the city. I stayed there for 4 weeks whilst looking for a teaching job and it was a good location to be able to do so. If you need to ask questions, Erika is very helpful. The room was large with plenty of space and doors out onto the terrace, as the weather gets better I'm sure the use of the terrace will be a wonderful addition.
Great flat, conveniently located close to Milano Centrale and within walking distance of some nice neighborhoods. Erika is a great host, very generous, flexible, and friendly.
Erika and her boyfriend Alessandro were really nice guests.
Uncomplicated, open and easy to talk to!
I liked the pasta fresca that Erika made and they liked my DOM Benedictine :D
I hope to see them both soon again!
