It was a great stay, it is such a spatious and lovely house, calm but still close to the village. Christina was very helpful giving tips for sights and places. Also, it was very covenient having a car with the house which was an good opportunity to get around on the island. Thanks very much!
Christina was a very thoughtful host. She was on time picking us up from the ferry and even let us borrow a car for the duration of the stay. The cottage was beautiful and even better than the pictures would indicate. We did have some trouble with Mosquitos so make sure to bring heavy duty repellant. That being said, would definitely recommend it!
We stayed at the old stone house from 7th - 12th September and could easily have stayed longer. The house was lovely, with lots of space and a nice veranda to watch the sunset. Christina gave us useful information about the island and the local restaurants. Plus the car that's thrown in as part of the cost was a great little runaround for getting to the various beaches and across the island. Would definitely stay again.
Spectacular! This beautiful little house had a fabulous terrace with sea view, perfect for sunsets. We loved the little artistic details that Adonis has built into all the cottages. The house is set apart from the others - a little flock of them on the hillside but you don't see the neighboring houses. The house is just like the pictures, everything works really well, lots of little touches such as French press and electric coffee maker, iron and ironing board, ect. The bed is comfortable. We were there in the spring and the aircons double as heaters so we were cozy. Great to have a little car to buzz all over this amazingly beautiful island with views galore and beautiful hikes. Cristina was so helpful in telling us where to go to see fun sights. Adonis was very friendly, it's his grandfather's farm and garden. The Agios Petros tower is a short hike away - beautiful and thousands of years old. Gavros is a cute little town, we had great food and met friendly folk there. It was a perfect place for our 5 night get away. We would go back again in an instant!
The place was everything we had wanted for a home away from home and more. Adonis, our host, was a wonderful help and we enjoyed our conversations with him; he is a large part why we loved our stay so much. We arrived in a wind storm and the wi-fi was down, but Adonis was quick to act and had it up and running within a day. The place had everything we needed for our little boy including a high chair, car seat, and baby cot. The lush natural garden was plentiful with apricots and lemons when we were there and our place had a beautiful vantage point over his great grandfather’s land, the valley, village and sea. It was a perfect distance to town and the provided car was in great condition. It would take 5 minutes to drive to town for groceries and a frappe at one of the cute caffes. Adonis gave us directions to the best food haunts and gorgeous beaches. The evenings were spectacular to watch the sun dip behind the hills and feel the summer still evening around us. It was a peaceful and splendid stay for our little family. The place had everything we needed and was so unique in design. This is a spot for memories to be made. We highly highly recommend it!
The house was very beautiful and Christina and her husband Adonis were so helpful with everything. They gave us tips where to go and we could always ask them if we needed something. The house was fully equipped and there was a babybed and high chair. It was perfect. The island is also very nice and with the car we could easily go anywhere we wanted to. I would definitely come back not only because of the beautiful island of Andros but also because the house was really special and pretty and Andonis was such a great host!
