We only stayed in Kimberley because I couldn't find a place in Cranbrooke. I'm so glad we did! It's a cute little town nestled in the mountains and Tod's house is accessible to all. Tod wasn't there when we stayed at his place, but his roomate gave us a tonne of excellent suggestions. I felt really at home and comfortable here and recommend it.
Tod was a really good host and he helps us to find a nice place to have dinner and go for a walk. The place was nice and comfortable.
A small, simple, clean condo with access to shared facilities including hot tub and sauna. Excellent location, perfect for a private stay on the mountain. Tod wasn't around for most of our stay but was very helpful when we chatted, giving us ideas for our travel plans.
Response from Tod:
Thanks Matthew. Great synopsis of exactly what it is. Small, equipped and convenient! Hope to see you again.
Tod is an great host, ensuring smooth and comfortable stay. The apartment was wonderful, and Tod also organized discount lift tickets. Thank you!
Tom was a great host. He told us about the town and great places to eat! The apartment was in a great location for ski in and ski out. It was very clean and warm! Check in and out was very easy. We enjoyed our time in Kimberley and will be back.
Great place, great host, great cat, great coffee. Tod provided a great respite to some weary travellers, with all the creature comforts of home, including beautiful views of Kimberley and excellent coffee to get the day started right! I can't wait to come back.
Great condo, very close to the main ski lift. Tod was great at helping us plan our trip to Kimberley and providing us with discounted lift tickets. Communication with Tod was very friendly and fast.
Tod was an amazing host!! The house is warm and inviting, the room is comfortable, and all within 15 minutes of Kimberley ski resort. Tod recommended the candle lit nordic track for a New Year's activity and just happened to have the perfect sized cross country ski boots and skis for me and my boyfriend. He kindly let us borrow them so we were able to watch the Kimberley fireworks from the trail. We finished off midnight in the hot tub at his house watching the fireworks in town. Our stay with Tod was fun and comfortable and ended with a delicious Tod-latte. I would highly recommend this place. (ps. Snoops the cat is pretty awesome too!)
I booked my reservation with Tod on what I would consider last-minute circumstances (less than 48 hours notice). Despite Tod not being in town during the reservation process as well as my first of two nights he was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The room I stayed in was warm and inviting and provided everything anyone would need for a good night's rest. The 2nd evening Tod returned home and was a very friendly and generous host. He even helped me with some planning for the rest of my road trip and gave tons of helpful advice on the locations I was planning on visiting. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the Powder Highway and all the fun that you can find there! And ditto on getting Tod to cook (from previous renters post). It was definitely fun staying at such a nice place with someone who genuinely enjoys others. I felt very welcomed the entire time.
Response from Tod:
And thank you Jenny for the kind review and kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed your Canadian hospitality!
We made a last minute reservation and we were very happy Tod was able to accommodate us. We did not have a chance to meet him in person but he was very responsive via AirBnB messages.
We really enjoyed hosting Tod and his girlfriend. They were super nice and polite, quiet, respectful of the cottage, and clean (they even stripped the bed). It was fun to hang out them in the back yard, while enjoying the sun. Wonderful AirBnBers!
Response from Tod:
Thanks Todd. I reckon we'll be back at some point to log some more wonderful Fairhaven time! Very cool little dual purpose cabin you have...
Amazing person, amazing place, amazing scenery sum up this Kimberley stay experience. Tod is a gracious host with excellent communication skills, a kind heart, and a genuinely caring personality. And a blasty blast to have some laughs with! Not to mention what a sweet pad he has with a clear view of Kimberley Alpine Resort from the hot tub on the deck ;-) ... oh and did I mention this guy can cook? yes... yes he can... so when you pop over, bring some organic produce from the local market and enjoy yourself with a healthy meal and perhaps a glass of wine (or my preference... beer ;-)...
I stay at Tod's whenever I go skiing, snowboarding, or golfing in and around Kimberley.
Tod is an amazing host, and the house has great amenities (including a small hot tub).
The location is amazing and quiet. It is a short drive/bike to everything Kimberley has to offer, and sits directly on the start of the new 'Rails to Trails' bike/longboard/running pathway that connects Kimberley to Cranbrook.
The house is probably the most comfortable home away from home that you could ask for, with the ability to bring back some of the delicious local fare, and cook it at the house.
