Camille was a very lovely welcoming host to her fantastic studio apartment during our stay in Rome. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location and having our own little space with private bathroom makes Camille's studio very comfortable. Camille was happy to answer any of our questions and made our stay a very enjoyable one! We would definitely recommend!
This accommodation is simply great! I totally recommend it to anyone who's planning a stay in Rome! Best BnB I've ever been to! Here's some background about our stay with Camille: I was traveling with my girlfriend in Italy (just catching some sun before the winter arrives) and we got to Rome with only a vague plan about where to stay. Sadly our first choice didn't work out so we checked on AirBnB and found this wonderful accommodation in a wonderful neighborhood for a great price. We wrote to Camille using the AirBnB app and she responded nearly instantly to our message and invited us to book our stay with her - which we did. Barely 5 minutes later we set out from Roma Termini railway station using the directions that Camille provided us and found the house very easily (it's only about 4 or 5 bus stops from the Termini station) right in the middle of a really nice and quite touristy neighborhood. As soon as we entered Camille's house and saw the accommodation she was offering we were both overjoyed and felt really lucky that our initially planned accommodation had fell through. The room she's offering is absolutely great! Her house has a huge terrace on the roof and if you cross this terrace then you come to a second small building which has a bedroom and a private bathroom with shower. The bed is a futon (low to the ground, Japanese style bed) but is very comfortable and offers plenty of room for two people. We also got fresh clean towels and facecloths and the shower even had shower gel in case you forgot to bring your own. Basically it was like having your own little bungalow on top of the roof with a huge terrace right out front. It also offered a very high level of privacy since you're not actually in the same building and can simply do your own thing. We got keys from Camille for easy access so we could come and go as we pleased. The neighborhood was also absolutely great! We were within about 15 minutes walking distance from the Vatican and about 20-25 minutes on foot from the Colosseum. There are literally 100s of restaurants, bars and little shops and boutiques within only a few steps of the house. The Roma Termini railway station is about 30min on foot or about 15-20min by bus (and the bus stop is literally 50 meters from the house). In short: simply the *perfect* place to stay if you want to take in the touristy sights of Rome on foot or by public transport (which I would recommend since driving a car in Rome must be a huge pain the rear end). You're also about 10 minutes on foot from the Trastevere neighborhood which seemed very relaxed and nice to us also (a bit less touristy). Just ask Camille - she can recommend a few great places! Simply great host and great stay! Thanks...
The room is in a great location, close to Piazza Navona and charming little streets to explore. It was quiet at night so no trouble sleeping, even though you are in the center of things. I loved waking up to the sound of the church bells. Camille is a great host and she gave some good tips on restaurants nearby.
Very nice place to stay in the very center of Rome. Just 2-3 minutes from Piazza Navona and the nearest bus stop is on 2 minutes as well. You are basically in the center but it is still kind a quiet in the night, so you can get a good sleep. Highly recommended.
We had the pleasure to stay at Camilles place for 2 nights in July 2013. Camille is a really nice and forthcoming host and she speaks english really well.
The room is nice and offers a double bed, a private bathroom and air condition. You can enjoy the huge and wonderful roof top terrace, which is shared with camille and her family. The terrace is really atmospherical and has some nice views and it's really nice at relax in busy Rome.
As stated in the description the bed is a futon which means it's practially on the floor, which can be a problem for some people but for us it wasn't a problem.
There's also free wifi, which is very nice to have in a big city.
The apartment is on the top floor in the building, but there's an elevator taking you almost to the top - you only have to walk up a few stairs to get all the way.
The main attraction for this room is by far the location!! From the apartment you can walk to so many big and small attractions, such as Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori, Sankt Angelo and many more. It's really perfect for exploring Rome by foot. Also it's just near by the main street Vittorio Emmanuele from which many busses runs from.
Getting to the apartment was quite easy. From Termini station you can take either bus 40 or bus 64 and get of at "Chiesa Nuova". If you come from the Trastevere station (which is much cheaper to get to from the airport) then you can take the tram to the final stop at piazza Venezia and then catch bus 40 or 64 from there.
We had a really great time in Camilles room and we would very much recommend others to go visit her nice place!!
Camille e la sua famiglia persone educate, civili e corrette
Camille, is so nice girl. She came with a little baby named Gasper smile all the time, no noise in the night. Gasper is an angel. Camille had a dinner with us, and she explain her new project as creator of item for interior baby rooms. ''Littlecabari''. I and my husband remain well impressed of the colour and all items they offer. We hope Camille have a success and reccomend her as host to anyone.
