Maha booked here for a friend who was visiting. Had she read anything about airbnb or visited my site (and communicated to her friend as well) before she booked, the visit would have been far more satisfactory. I have to remember that she had her friend's best interest at heart, but after the reservation was accepted the questions started. "Can I come over [4 days early] and check out the place?" "Can I drop off food for him [before he gets there]? "The last straw came when she emailed me to say that her friend could not abide by the house rules (there are only 2, one of which is a request to limit shower time due to our severe drought; the other to remove one's shoes in the house) And that he needed at least a 15 minute shower...they arrived at midnight and woke up the household with her stiletto heels on the wooden floor. I met her friend the next morning, who, by the way, is charming, urbane, and a very interesting conversationalist, but was completely unaware of airbnb or the situation preceeding. Maha showed up in the morning with breakfast for her friend in her stiletto heels. They quickly ate and left a day early, and left a few of their breakfast dishes here!??! No explanation...
