Nicole was a wonderful host . She made us feel at home right away.
Everything went like clockwork, she was there waiting for us when we arrived, showed us about the apartment which was really neat and clean. There was a delightful patio outside where we had our breakfast provided by Nicole. The bedroom was as described and the bed very comfortable. To top it all the location was great . I highly would recomend this charming bed and breakfast place
Our stay at Nicole's apartment was such a great experience. The location is conveniently from the subway station and with some nice restaurants, the room is bright and clean. And she gave us information about the city. Very nice and friendly person. Highly recommended! Thank you so much Nicole.
I sent my parents on a surprise vacation to Montreal - this is what they had to say:
Nicole was an impeccable host. She respected our privacy and yet made herself available to answer questions and help in any way needed. She gave us information about the city - knowledge about Montreal, directing us to areas we were interested in seeing. She gave us the best recommendations to different restaurants. She was extremely friendly and welcoming. We really felt like we could not have asked for anything more in a host. Everything was perfect! Thank you so much, Nicole!
As advertised, lovely stay. The space was very clean and offered a great value/price ratio.
Our stay at Nicole's property was a very pleasant, peaceful and warm experience.
Property and Room:
Her place is very beautifully decorated and is very clean.
Our room was very large with a big bed, dressers, closet to hang up clothes. Modern Kitchen with all the utensils, cups, plates, french press, electric kettle, bowls you would need. Plus you don't have to do your own dishes at all (as there is a dishwasher). Nicole offered us usage of her very nice living room with television and assortment of DVDs, books etc. There is also a dining room area where you can eat the breakfast you prepare in the morning.
What was Included:
We were provided with clean sheets, pillows, baths towels, regular towels, face towels, breakfast (which included organic fruits, multi-grain bread/ pita breads with spreads, yoghurt, milk, assortment of coffees, teas etc), shampoo, body wash, WIFI - basically everything you need for an Amazing stay.
For those who are concerned about safety (which we were too as first time users of AirBNB), Nicole's place itself is very safe. The main door auto-locks by itself - so no concerns there. In fact, I left my laptop laying around in the house outside my room for a full day I was not concerned the least bit. The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe too.
Lastly, I would just like to point out Nicole's warm personality and knowledge of Montreal's various neighbourhoods and places to eat were an invaluable asset to our stay.
We highly recommend Nicole's place for anyone out there who is travelling as a couple for a nice retreat, a solo traveller or maybe a small family - the area is very quiet. We would definitely consider coming back next time we are in Montreal.
Nicole was such a firnedly, welcoming host who immediatly made me feel right at home. The space is beautiful, a real montreal style apartment, beautifully decorated. She even had soy milk (I can't drink regular) ready for me for coffee in the morning. Super considerate! This apartment is also so close to the orange line it was easy to get around.
We had a wonderful stay at Nicole's apartment. The space was lovely and met all our needs. One day was even nice enough for us to eat our breakfast on the terrace! We very much appreciated the muesli bread and local French press coffee in the morning. The proximity to a metro stop was convenient and we hung out at two great local coffeeshops during our stay (St. Henri and Lili & Oli).
But the best part about staying here is that Nicole is an active explorer of her city and was very willing to find sites and restaurants that would excite us. We went to several of her recommended restaurants and left satisfied every time. Nicole is a fantastic host, especially for newcomers to Montreal.
Nicole's apartment is relatively easy to find, despite being nestled among many one-way streets. It's a gorgeous place and feels very cozy, and we were very warmly welcomed by Nicole. She sat us down and drew maps of the city for us to carry around with us to help us navigate the Metro and certain areas we wanted to visit. Nicole was extremely helpful and asked us what we wanted to do and knew exactly where to send us for our brief two day stay. In the few days that we spent in Montreal, we climbed to the top of Mont Royal (highly recommend), visited numerous cafes with delicious coffee and drinks, saw a few live musicians for free at cozy venues and fun bars, and ate at some amazing restaurants (try poutine!!!), most notably a small place called "Olive & Gourmando," where we had the most amazing sandwiches (on home-baked bread) that were so good that we went back the next day before we left! Nicole is extremely accommodating and her spare room was very comfortable and quiet. We had an amazing time and I would highly recommend her place to any travelers looking to explore Montreal.
Had a great time in Montréal and at Nicole's place. We came for a really spontaneous weekend trip to Montréal and got immediate confirmation on the day we arrived. Nicole was really nice and helpful. She provided us with all information and tips we needed for our stay as well as maps, metromaps and museum guide etc. The place looks exactly as shown on the picture, we felt very comfy to stay at her place. Also the locations was perfect, we had a car (free parking spaces available) and it was only about 10min to all main attractions. If required a metro station is within 5 - 10 min walk. We would def stay there again if we go back to Montréal.Thanks for the good time :)
Nicole and her friends were great guests. They were clean and even left 1/2 a bottle of wine for me to enjoy when I got back. They were nice enough to fold the used sheets and put the towels in the hamper. I would welcome them back.
Nicole, a Canadian who lives in Portugal stayed with me earlier in the month to attend a conference and visit friends.
Having been an Airbnb host in Canada and also having been a guest she very much knows what it is about. She quietly got on with things, made herself coffee in the morning and some days we ate breakfast together. It was fun to talk to her, also working in the creative sector but approaching things differently. She spoke a bit about the conference which sounded fun and left me two marvellous books that surely will stimulate the creative cells.
She left everything very tidy and she is welcome anytime.
Nicole is a pleasure to have as a guest. She's personable, interesting, respectful and easy to room with. Recommended!
Nicole is very polite, communicative and very friendly.
Once, she lives near Oporto, hope to receive Nicole again.
Nicole was a very considerate and clean guest that was very enjoyable to chat with. I definitely recommend her to anyone as a guest!
LOVED Nicole. Super fun to talk to, incredibly courteous guest, and just generally great to have at the house. She's an ideal guest, period :)
Nicole is intelligent, fun, and always curious about the world around her. She's an amazing woman that I have had the privilege to know for over 10 years. I love and cherish my friendship with her.
