Great place, cute and in the middle of town! Not to mention Andrea was a great host, but please note there are 2 great bedrooms but no living room.
It is important to note that this is a smoking apartment (which it DOES state in the amenities section). There is a noticeable smell of smoke in the apartment and on the towels and sheets. If you have no problem with this issue, it's a great apartment, as detailed below.
Andrea and his girlfriend were very friendly and helpful. There were 4 of us, 2 couples, staying in the apartment which had 2 equally-sized bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom, but no living room/common space. The place was renovated recently, so the heating and hot water worked well. The apartment was very clean and the location was excellent with most of the main sights of Perugia within walking distance.
The kitchen was spotless and well-stocked with crockery and cutlery. There wasn't any oil, salt, tea, etc., so if you plan to cook, be aware you may need to bring/buy some supplies.
The towels and sheets cost extra (10 euros) beyond the Airbnb rental price.
There is a parking lot for pay (16.50 euro/day) just 5-10 minutes walking (using Perugia's escalator system) from the apartment, or free parking is on the outskirts of town and you can use the minimetro to come to the center.
A good home base in Perugia!
Our stay at Andrea's apartment was fantastic! Everything was neat, clean, and just as described. The location could not have been any more central, and our host could not have been more helpful and friendly. Andrea met us immediately upon our arrival in Perugia, led us to the apartment, and was extremely accommodating - he also let us keep our luggage at his place long after checkout, and his girlfriend even brought us a coffee maker just in case we decided we wanted some in the morning! The place is very spacious and the bathroom was quite large by Italian standards. All of the appliances are new and clearly well-cared for. We definitely plan on staying here again on future visits to Perugia!
Perugia in general was the absolute GEM of our five week travels throughout Italy. We were blown away by its beauty.
No other city was as clean or charming. We felt safe all the time at any time of day or night. Rife with history and jaw-dropping architecture and art.
The apartment had an ideal location and was extremely clean and accommodating. Very newly refurbished in a gorgeous old building.
We would return any time but stay longer!
Thank you to a most gracious host, Andrea and his girlfriend, who helped with translations!
Apartment is modern and very comfortable, in a historic building in the center of Perugia. It is clean and with everything you need to stay. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to walk pass amazing little streets full of history.
Andrea lives in the house and he is the perfect host, very helpful. He was willing to wait when we arrived due to the complicated transport about an hour later. He tried to solve even the parking.
I can only recommend it. If I'm next in Perugia, I will definitely stay here again!
Now I know why Italians drive small cars - some streets were for our Peugeot 4007 too narrow and we passed it with mirrors folded. Finally, we got almost to the house, although the navigation does not work in the city too (it is better to have a paper map). We could not find free parking near the house but paid parking is available at Viale Pompeo Pellini (16.50 euros / day) .
Center and periphery connects minimetro that runs every few minutes.
Fabulous apartment close to the centre but tucked into a quiet & pretty little lane. My husband & I stayed in Andrea's lovely apartment for 7 nights in September. It's newly renovated, spotlessly clean & very comfortable. For wifi we used our handy iphone hotspot (much of Perugia doesn't have wifi), which worked perfectly in the apartment. We arrived by train & very simply caught the cute minimétro to La Culpa station & were met by Andrea, our lovely, helpful host. The apartment made a perfect home away from home for us & was ideal for day tripping to Assisi, Todi, Gubbio & Le Marche. Definitely stay at Andrea's when you're in Perugia!
Andrea was an amazing host, very friendly and generous!
The apartment is newly renovated in the most beautiful part of the historic center of Perugia. Very clean and spacious, with all necessary appliances! Overall, a great place to spend your vacation! Highly recommended!
