Nice place to stay in venice. The apartment is convenient and very well located close to everything. The area is very touristy but the street is calm and you can escape the crowd with a 5min walking. Aida was helpful and responded to each demands. I recommend.
First off, Aida is one of the nicest hosts you'll ever meet. She was extremely kind and helpful.
Previous reviews offer an accurate depiction of the apartment.
My main concern was that the apartment is incorrectly listed as "Entire Apartment" rather than "Private Room" which would have been a more appropriate description. Aida was in her own room/apartment about half of the duration of our stay. We wouldn't have really minded this had we been looking for private rooms, which are generally less expensive than entire apartments.
Overall, it's difficult to compare the value of this rental to others, as we were never looking at private rooms for this trip.
Aida's house is really well located, 5 minutes walk to San Marco and everything you need at arm´s reach.
It is a peacefull, typical and clean apartment.
The room is quiet and I slept very well there.
I missed nothing, except a good connection for Internet at the apartment.
But it wasn't that serious because Aida gave me her passwords for the network of the city that you can pick up around town.
I felt very comfortable, free to come and go according to my desire and my rythm.
Aida is also very helpfull and I appreciated a lot her kindness and discretion.
A good place to stay in venice!
Amazing location and wonderful host! It was a true pleasure to share Aida's home with her for a couple days.
Nice place to be. Well located and comfortable. Charming!
Aida was very nice. The location of the apartment was super convenient. Keep in mind that in Italy the third floor means you go up three flights of steps, though, since you enter on the Ground floor, not the First floor. My husband is 5'8 tall and he found himself having to duck slightly while climbing the steps, so that's something else to keep in mind for taller travelers.
The bedroom is very spacious, and the bed was fairly comfortable. The listing states that there is internet provided via vodafone key, however this requires a USB port. Most tablets don't have this standard (including ipads), but Aida did provide an easy alternative to access wifi in the public squares of Venice.
The only downside to this room is that the bathroom is very narrow, and the toilet is built into a corner. This made it less comfortable than we are used to, but all in all I wouldn't say that would be enough to stop us from coming back.
My stay at Aida's was very short, only 1 night. The apartment itself is charming, cozy and clean and the room is spacious. And conveniently located, about a 5 min walk to San Marcos. The things to keep in mind is that if end up on a train to Via Mestre, it's a bus ride on the number 2, a ferry ride to Rialto and then a walk with stairs to Aida's apt. Also, there are some really cumbersome stairs to get to her apt. Keep the luggage light! She was sweet enough to offer some help. Also, I heavily rely on an internet connection and it kept dropping. I felt bad that I had to disturb Aida to get connected again and again but she was nice about it and even offered me her iPad.
We had a lovely time with Aida. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was PERFECT. Aida was a charming host and did everything she could to make our stay a pleasant one.
Aida is a lovely person and her apartment is located 5 min from either Rialto or San Marco. Perfect for tourists!
My stay with Aida was wonderful. Aida is super friendly and very accommodating. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. I would definitely stay with Aida again and highly recommend her apartment.
