Nancy met me when I arrived and showed me around. She was gracious and accommodating when my schedule changed due to a snowstorm. Her home was warm, comfortable, well-equipped and charming. I felt right at home and had most of my meals in as a result. Nancy's place is in a great neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, whatever you need with easy access to all of Denver. It felt like a home away from home and I will definitely be back.
Very comfortable home that suited the needs of three adult women looking for a respite weekend.
Had a great experience transitioning from OK to Denver. Nancy accommodated for my early arrival and helped my first month in this new state be the best it could be! Would definitely use her again and I highly recommend this home.
The space itself is nice and cozy and in a great location. Beds were very comfortable and the living room was nice...
However, this is probably the most horrendous welcoming experience I've ever had by a Airbnb host. Nancy still hasn't answered any emails I've sent since confirming the reservation and didn't even tell us any details on how to check in besides the fact that we couldn't check in before 4pm.
When we arrived, we didn't know where to go or where to find a key. After walking around the property, we were finally greeted by Nancy's daughter who was still cleaning, and who told us that she doesn't know where the key to the house is because her sister might've taken it. So we tried to be nice and she apologized and said her sister would be around to drop the key off with about an hour.
Fast forward 3.5 hours later after numerous (unanswered) calls and texts, Nancy's daughter (still not Nancy) finally arrives - not with the key, but with a huge pile of keys in which "one of these might be it." She spends the next 30 minutes trying key after key - meanwhile the door is wide open and it's FREEZING outside. Finally she gives up and says she has to call a locksmith. After all of that, she finally finds a spare key in her pile of other keys in her car, and leaves - with the door still wide open.
This experience has left me feeling incredibly frustrated with Airbnb to the point that I don't know if I'll use the service again. I should be able to rely on customer reviews with good faith that if the community says a host is great and fairly responsive, then that's the truth. Instead, I was not welcomed into this home and felt as though we could not have our privacy in a space that we PAID for. It took 4.5 hours for them to give me the key to the place we rented!
Telling me they'll leave it under a mat while we go out is simply not acceptable. I need the peace of mind to know that I can have access to the place I rented and paid for, not to mention the safety of my valuables.
We still have yet to hear from Nancy. I've used Airbnb countless times before (both through my bookings and friends/family bookings) and I've never experienced something like this before. She never told us about check-out procedures either, so we just left the place with the door unlocked and the key inside, since it only locks from the outside with a key.
This historic home was a wonderful place to stay in Colorado! It's located near a main street (Colfax Ave.) lined with nice shops and a couple of blocks away from a Denver bike share station which can be used to access downtown Denver in about 20 minutes. The parking pass provided is useful if you're renting a car. Only downside was the wi-fi in the house was a bit slow at times, if you want to do any serious internet usage there are cafes with free wi-fi a short walk away. Overall a great stay!
Nancy's place was a warm and very comfortable and spacious home base while we were on Denver. She was accommodating and patient while we worked out booking glitches. We would go again.
Nancy was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The listing was as described, comfortable for three adults. Comfortable beds! Great location, walking distance to good restaurants. Parking right in front of the house.
This private little place was beautiful, comfortable and perfectly located for me. I was impressed with how quiet it was there at night. The tub was decadent and I had everything I could possibly need. Nancy was friendly and welcoming and easy to work with. The weather was cold so we didn't use the outside patio, but I hope to return in the spring!
Verder prima verblijf gehad!
We had a great experience at Nancy's apartment. It felt like a true home away from home, so much so, that we ended up eating in and relaxing in the apartment much more than we anticipated. That being said, the place is in a great neighborhood with basically everything you would need within walking distance, which was great.
The place looked just like the photos, in other words, cozy and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.
