I'm a mum to three boys and I live in Cork in South Ireland and I'm a baby sign language teacher. I love meeting new people and seeing new places.

This was the last stay of our holiday with airbnb in Ireland. The family house is well located in a relaxed and safe community, just ahead the ocean; we rent a car and used their free park located in front of the house. We enjoyed our stay, enjoyed talking with Tara and her sons. Our room was clean, tidy and cozy, with functional private bathroom. Our host was quite busy with house and other stuff, but even though, always available to give suggestions, share a jug of latte, or let us employ her friendly dog to be driven through footpaths around the bay. She is definitely bright, friendly and pleasant and we have would spent more time there!
Tara's home is exactly as advertised - a bright and beautiful beachside cottage. One can literally see a spectacular beach from her back yard, and a short walk will take you there. We saw surfers and kite surfers enjoying the waves. Although we only had a brief stay, we greatly appreciated Tara's friendliness and hospitality. Her boys (and her big black dog) also made us feel at home. She made us a delicious breakfast while getting the young lads taken care of at the same time. Our room was very comfortable, with an adjoining bathroom, and our section of Tara's home also had a door closing it off from the rest of the main floor. Tara recommended two local eateries to us and we picked one, and had a delicious dinner at the Speckled Door, which also has a spectacular view.
Tara is bright, well-informed, tolerant, and welcoming. She lives in the house with three boys, ranging in age from diapers to a 15-year-old, and all of them are friendly and engaging; there are also sometimes additional kids in the house. The guest room is bright and comfortable, with a good bed and a well-functioning bathroom reserved for the guests. Tara is very flexible about breakfast times and food choices, and can propose interesting local activities. There are great walks starting a few feet from her door, and Cork City and Kinsale are easy to get to. The whole thing was just very relaxed and comfortable.
The reservation was canceled 15 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We really liked our stay at Tara's : her home is beautiful, the room is nice and she did so much for us ! The view and breakfasts were wonderful ! Her home welcomes many people, all very nice... We didn't see the boys muh but they were really nice too !
We recommand this house, perfect to enjoy he irish seaside !
The accommodations were in a nice seaside cottage, with a comfortable bed and bathroom. Tara has lovely children and a friendly dog, the ocean view is beautiful, and she made a great breakfast. My only issue was that it took a few minutes for someone to answer the door when I arrived, which is worrisome when you are alone in an unfamiliar place. The person who did answer the door spoke only a little English. Tara was sick, so I didn't meet her until the next day.
Elaine and I had a wonderful time with Tara, Alicia and the boys, and a friendly, big, black dog named Kabara. Busy household indeed! Tara is very friendly and made us feel like we were a part of her family right away. In the mornings we sat on the porch with Tara and friends just chatting and having mint tea Tara harvested from her garden. Accommodations were just a as described. We had our own separate room and bathroom. Alicia’s English is just fine if you are patient with her and she is working hard to improve. Breakfast is everything you would ever want. You will need a car which you can get at the Cork Airport. Take the 226 bus directly from the train station to the airport and back. We recommend the friendly pub called the Hurley’s in Ballinspittle not far away on the 604 road. Take the Park and Ride when touring Cork. In Kinsale park anywhere – literally. We enjoyed the evenings on the porch, drinking wine, watching the moon rise over Old Head and listening to the waves crash on the sea wall. Take Kabar on a walk along the 2 beaches or up to the Blue Horizon pub which is a hike up the hill, but the view is wonderful. Kabara will make his way home on his own. Staying with Tara is exactly what AirBNB friends is all about. We didn’t want to leave. Double highly recommended.
Absolutely recommendable! Tara gave us a warm reception and we felt quickly at home. We'll never forget the breakfasts and the walk by the cliffs nearby. I'd repeat it. Thanks to Tara and all her family.
Our stay was absolutely great! Tara is a really nice person, her home is lovely and she looked after us really well! Glad we got to meet you and thanks for everything :)
Our stay at Tara's was great. 100meters to the beach. Walking distance to the pub (no food) Good food a couple of kms down the road. Tara looked after us like we were her parents. Graeat breakfast. We could of had whatever we wanted nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
