Add me to the many people who were delighted with this quiet and private bedroom-bathroom suite, use of fully equipped modern kitchen (and washing machine), within a large, well designed apartment (occupied by a lovely family) on the 8th floor of a 20 story building with large and efficient elevators. The environs are equally charming -- a small village feeling with a park-playground in front of the building entrance, a few restaurants, grocery store and bakery. A short walk to the # 6 metro line; one stop from Place d'italia; a major transportation hub with the "Italie 2" shopping mall. Thank you for everything, Leslie.
I had a very pleasant stay at Leslie's apartment.
The location was very convenient, as I was attending a week-long conference at the nearby Marriott Rive Gauche, which was only a five minute walk away. I didn't do much in terms of sightseeing, but I imagine that the location would appeal to those intending to see Paris's many attractions, as the metro is a mere two minute walk away.
I cooked a few meals during my stay with Leslie; there are a few grocery stores and bakeries conveniently located within a few blocks.
What I liked about the apartment was how quiet it was. I had to wake up early in the mornings and work in the evenings during my stay, so I appreciated the quietness.
Unfortunately, I saw very little of Leslie, as she is a busy student. She was very friendly and accommodating, and I enjoyed the conversation that we had.
Finally, another thing I liked about the apartment was the assortment of art and souvenirs from around the world (Leslie's family has traveled extensively). As a result, the apartment has plenty of character.
Leslie a très gentiment accepté des horaires d'arrivée et de départ difficiles liés à notre transport.
chambre très calme, salle de bain privée appréciée, lit confortable.
quartier agréable et très commode, métro à 100 m.
The room was big, the bed also and everything was good! The flat has a wonderful view on the eiffel tower and is located very well!
Would definitely recommend her to other travellers.
Accueil chaleureux, chambre spacieuse avec un lit confortable . Le quartier est calme sans être désert. Merci Leslie.
Leslie was a great host! The room had everything we needed - big bed, table with chairs, balcony, wardrobe, TV. We had our own bathroom and toilet, so it felt more like we rented a small apartment. You can also use the kitchen and store the food in the fridge. All the people in the household were friendly to us, when we met them (rather rarely). The underground station was just in several minutes walk from apartment and easy to find. There are also several cafe and supermarkets (at least one of them worked until 21:30) nearby. We've found some tourist maps in the room, that really helped us in the beginning. Thank you, Leslie!
Although we were late because the train broke down Lesley greeted us with a warm and friendly smile. She showed us the bedroom and bathroom which looked like the photo. We used the stove in the kitchen to make some tea .Its a disappointment that we never saw you or anyone in your household again. We did find the map and tourist info in the bedroom which was (website hidden)
Leslie was super nice, and the flat was amazing! Huge bedroom, really good bathroom.
Leslie made us very welcome and was very accommodating when our flight was delayed by 3 hours.
Her approach was perfect for us. She gave us a run down on the facilities and let us know she was happy to help with anything and then left us to ourzelves. She is very cheery warm and friendly person
The accommodation was great. Comfortable room with our own bathroom with a view that includes the lights of the eifffel tower at night. It is on the eighth floor but the lift/elevator was very good. Also good wifi.
The neighborhood was very friendly with a bakery, good restaurants and coffee shops literally 30 metres or less from the door. There is a choice of 2 metro stops within a short walk.
For those like us who enjoy walking it is a very pleasant walk to the centre of Paris through typical french back streets. Maybe an hour or more but the time flies.
This location has the best of both worlds. A bit away from mass tourism but close a enough to be convenient.
Great value for money. Could not have wished for more.
I stayed with Leslie & family for 5 nights. The space is just a described, it's a nice big room with comfortable bed and terrace. There is an adjoining private bathroom which amounts to you having your own apartment. It's a nice space and bigger than my friend's studio apartment in Paris. The wifi worked very well. The Check-in went smoothly at the time we arranged. The apartment is located very near the Corsivart metro stop in the 13th Arrondissement. This is not the city center, but is very close to the metro stop. The Corsivart stop is on the M6 line which isn't the most convenient, it usually means 1 or 2 transfers to get where you are going. For me it was mostly going out once and coming home once. The normal trip time was about 30 -40 minutes each way. I didn't explore much of the neighborhood around the apartment, but there is a nearby market, a few shops and some restaurants. It's generally a quiet residential area.
In summary, this is a very comfortable, good value accommodation. Note the location and that you will be riding the metro quite a bit to get around.
We haven't met, but they left my apartment in good shape. No problems. Good communication.
