I moved to New Orleans 3 years ago and fell in love with this city. I recently completed my MFA in Creative Writing at UNO and am now teaching as an adjunct instructor.
Come stay with me in one of the coolest neighborhoods in town!

KImberly is a gracious host and will go out of her way to help you navigate New Orleans, if you are from out of town. Her place is comfortable and well organized. The neighborhood is very quaint and is in a convenient location to many desirable points of interest. We wanted to take a tour of a cemetery to see where some famous New Orleans artists reside. Cemetery #3 is about a half a mile away and can be walked to, but we decided to drive. The neighborhood cafe was also within a few blocks and has great beverages and food items. Overall a great experience!
We enjoy our stay with Kimberly very much. She has a nice apartment and we had full use of the apartment. She is very generous and sharing. Kimberly was very helpful with driving directions as we had a bit of a problem getting around. We found her place quiet and very comfortable. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well. Kimberly is a busy person, so we did not see a lot of her, but she is a wonderful hostess. We would stay with Kimberly again. Linda & Lara
We booked Kim's apartment for Superbowl weekend. Before we even decided for sure to stay in her place she was very informative and helpful. She always responded promptly to any questions and provided tips on places to eat and public transportation. The location is perfect . Just close enough to take the trolley to Bourbon Street. But far enough away to let you get a moment of peace and quiet. Kim is a wonderful hostess and made us feel right at home. She gives an adequate description of the accommodations so we had plenty of room for a party of five adults. I felt very comfortable as did my entire party and look forward to staying with Kim again in the future.
Kimberly was the most perfect host one can wish for. She was really helpful in providing us with information on things that were worth visiting and on how to get around New Orleans by public transportation. The bus going downtown does not take very long (about 15 minutes) and runs twice every hour, and once an hour on the weekend. Her home is in a lovely neighbourhood, with several grocery shops and cafes right around the corner (thumbs up for Cafe FairGrinds!). The room is very spacious but cosy at the same time and it really felt like we were staying in a home away from home. I really enjoyed getting to know Kimberly and staying with her made my stay in NOLA all the more exciting. Highly recommended!

Kim was lovely, fun and welcoming! We really enjoyed the apartment and it's in a GREAT location! Loved being able to walk to the great coffeeshop and restaurants. Everything was a short drive or walk. Kim gave us lots of good ideas for going out and we really enjoyed talking with her! Highly recommended - we'll be back!
We stayed in NOLA for a week, 3 friends and a toddler. The apartment was spacious and accommodating with all necessities available. Kimberly's neighbourhood is supremely charming and is one of the older ones in town (in a good way). There is a grocery shop and several cafés/dining places just down the road (big thumbs up for Fair Grinds Coffee place). Getting down town is a little involved (cab, bus or street car). Bus is the most convenient and we used it on several occasions.
Kimberly was very helpful from the start. We didn't have the chance to meet her before the last day, but that was more than enough to establish that Kimberly is a first class human being. Fantastic mood and helpful great attitude! Gotta love Kimberly.
I would recommend anyone (who don't mind living in someone else's home as it is) to stay with Kimberly. It was a good experience, and also gives such a more in-touch experience to experience NOLA than e.g. hotels.
Distance from city: okay
Thanks Tor! What a great review!
Kimberly was an amazing host! I stayed with her as I relocated to New Orleans. She was patient and informative regarding my many emailed questions and provided lots of solid information. She was very accommodating and provided support and assistance as I navigated the relocation experience. Kimberly is intelligent, personable, and an all-around great host! And by the way, Jazz Fest fans - you can actually see the roof of the fairgrounds from her porch since her apartment is only a few blocks away! Her location is great - only ten minutes or so away from the FQ and most other NOLA points, but nice and quiet so you can get some sleep. Staying with her was wonderful and I would highly recommend it!
My boyfriend and I stayed with Kimberly during Jazz Fest and we had a wonderful time! We definitely recommend making her place your home base while visiting New Orleans.
Kimberly is a great host; she made us feel at home and offered a lot of great insider tips for things to do in the city. Its easy to get around to other parts of the city via taxi, streetcar, or walking, but you'll also find several great restaurants and coffee shops right in the neighborhood. We loved Fair Grinds Coffee Shop, Nonna Mia, Liuzza's, and Santa Fe, all located on right on Kimberly's street. Also, we were there for Jazz Fest, so the neighborhood was expecially festive given its proximity to the Fairgounds!
All in all it was a wonderful trip and we couldn't have asked for a better host!
Staying with Kim was a great experience. Her gracious hosting made me feel at home....the room was quite spacious...all the amenities(iced tea, toiletries, etc) were lovely and welcome. The neighborhood feels safe and the offstreet parking made life easy when returning from a late nite. Although the bed is a sofabed, it wasn't too bad. Note should be made she is on the second floor for any guests having issues with stairs.
I plan to stay with her again in the future and will recommend this place to any friends visiting the city(at times when I'm not there)
Thanks again to Kim for helping to make my stay such a wonderful experience.
Kimberly was busy with her activities and spent very little time in the flat leaving early and arriving late. We didn't click, I guess different expectations. she is new to airbnb. i hope her expectations will be met next time.
