I used to work for a huge Oil & Gas company in Canada. At the beginning of 2010 I left my job and went to school to get my Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). I travelled for 2 years and taught English in Central America and in the Republic of Georgia - now I'm back in Canada and back at University. I love being back around my friends and family but definitely miss traveling and try to do little trips here and there.
I've stayed in many different accommodations - from $5 a night hostels to 5 star hotels, I'm not picky & as long as I feel comfortable in my surroundings I'm happy!
Some of my favourite books are: Shadow of the Wind, 100 Years of Solitude, A Short History of Nearly Everything, I love Dostoyevsky's writing style, Bill Bryson, John Irving, and some classics.
As a guest, I can keep to myself or be social depending on the situation - I think I'm fairly good at reading people and easily adaptable. I love meeting new people and learning about the places I stay!
I've used other home-sharing sites while traveling - everywhere from Turkey to Costa Rica and had great luck meeting awesome people.
