We had a great experience in Portland. Location is perfect and very close to public transit. Stayed over Portland marathon weekend. We didn't meet Samantha but the place was clean and nicely set up for us. Mississippi Ave district is a block away and so interesting, we spent a whole day exploring the area in addition to touring downtown. We would love to stay here again if we ever make it back.
We had a fantastic time staying at Samantha's. We didn't get to meet her, but she had everything set up for us, her space was clean & tidy and we felt very much at home. The area was perfect for us, and we loved exploring Mississippi Avenue which is just one block away. We will definitely be looking Sam up again for our next stay in the future!!
We only saw Samantha briefly, but she was kind and welcoming when we did. Her dog was wary of us at first, but then opened up like a sweetheart once we "got her mom's approval" as Samantha put it.
The location is perfect; only one street over from the Mississippi district full of unique little shops, bars, and restaurants. My boyfriend and I made an afternoon of just walking the shops. We didn't take public transportation since we drove most of the time, but the house wasn't too difficult to find once we remembered where it was. We mostly had the house to ourselves, and enjoyed our stay greatly in Portland. It was clean and tidy, and well decorated. We there was also a small desk and closet in our room, and plenty of outlets. Definitely would recommend this room to other travelers.
We had a wonderful weekend stay with Samantha. We didn't get a chance to meet in person, but we had everything we needed, the space was very tidy, and the location is great for getting around Portland.
We really enjoyed staying in Mississippi Arts neighborhood. Samantha's place was very nice, clean, welcoming and felt like home with everything we needed to be comfortable. We were given our privacy and that was nice too. Very flexible on check in and out time. We loved hanging out in the neighborhood enjoying all the unique coffee and vintage shops, restaurants, brewery. But very easy to commute to another area by bus and the Max to explore Portland. Would recommend to everyone! :)
We didn't get to meet Sam in person, but she was really great with providing relevant information for the stay. Her place was really welcoming and comfy, and incredibly close to just about everything
On our trip, we packed bikes, and we were able to get everywhere in 20 minutes! What isn't mentioned in the write up is that there are two (!) breweries located within a block of her house, which is on the ever so awesome Mississippi district.
I would gladly come back here for another Portland trip.
Our experience at Sam's place was perfect! She had wonderful ideas for places to eat very nearby and her place was very accessible to Downtown (take the 4). Her place was very clean and cozy indeed complete with towels for our use, access to the kitchen and gas stove/oven and a beautifully decorated living room and guest room. We absolutely loved our stay at Sam's and would definitely recommend her place for future visitors.
They were great guests and I would highly recommend them. The house was left clean and it seemed like they really go out and enjoyed what Rockaway had to offer. I would welcome them back at any time.
