I'm an IT manager in a web agency in Venice and I'm married from 1 year.
Sitio muy recomendable, estuvimos muy bien, y está bien ubicado.
El único punto negativo es que la cama supletoria, era muy incómoda.
Good location and friendly host.
El departamento de Maurico es más lindo de lo que se ve en las fotos. Es muy agradable. Muy fresco. Al llegar a Venecia hacían casi 40 grados. Al entrar en el departamento fue un gran alivio. No lo vimlo vimos a Mauricio.
We had a good stay. Cristiano was quick to respond to all of our inquiries. Upon arrival at the train station, we were given specific directions and met up with Mario who gave us the keys and showed us the apartment. The apartment was accurately described in the listing and as shown in the pictures. We were happy with the location of the apartment - a short walk from the train and bus stations. Thank you Cristiano. We had a great time in Venice.
Did host at all. Met his Mother instead and all subsequent interactions are with her, which should be ok, except she doesn't speak the English Language.
Ground floor unit, that should accommodate 2. Having the 3rd person in my group makes it seem crowded and this is amplified further with the Low ceiling height.
The additional single bed put in has too thin a mattress that you could feel the individual springs below it. Creaks as well.
We very much liked the location and the cost of the place. Since we were out exploring Venice, we didn't spend much time inside, so this worked out well for us. Unfortunately, the previous reviews about smells and the lack of communication from our host were all true. We were greeted on time at the meeting spot by our host, and she was a lovely lady, but she didn't speak any English. She had very specific instructions about when we had to leave and when the cleaning woman came, but because of the language barrier, we didn't understand any of them. Once inside, the place was just okay. There was a very strong smell (almost like inside a hospital) that we assume was due to whatever cleaning products she used. We tried to keep the windows open during the day to air it out. The day of our departure (we told her we were checking out at 10am), we had to make two trips to the car since we had to park so far away. On our first trip out, she stopped us (she lives next door) to get the keys from us. We told her we had to come back for our bags, and she told us to knock to get the keys back from her. We did so, and she had already taken our bags out of the house. It was 9:50, and she said we had to leave so they could clean for the next guest. We didn't get a chance to do a clean sweep of the place and may have left some items (shampoo, body wash). It's unfortunate we had this experience, because otherwise our stay in Venice was lovely.
The apartment had everything we needed and was clean. The area is quiet and close to everywhere we needed to go. We appreciated the maps of Venice.
Everything was wonderful! Mario met us at the exact time and showed us around the apartment. It was very clean and exactly what we needed!
We had an amazing time at Venice thanks to the hospitality of our host. We never got to meet Cristiano like most of the other people who have stayed here but his parents were really kind to help us out. In fact we got delayed trying to carry our bags across the bridges that we had to cross but Mario was kind enough to wait for us at the Teatro Italia to welcome us. He also provided us with the local map which made getting around really easy. There is also a super market with in 100 meters and plenty of cafes nearby which was helpful.
El departamento cómodo, buena ubicación, limpio y excelente atención, si bien no lo conocimos a Cristiano, la Sra. que nos recibió nos hizo sentir muy bien y se ofreció para lo que necesitaramos
Absolutely wonderful guests! They took such great care of my apartment and were so pleasant to deal with. They are welcome back anytime.
Very honest family, speaks little English, but very friendly and despite the language barrier, we communicated well. The friendly hostess told us that there was a small supermarket very, very close by so we could buy supplies to cook. The apartment is located on a tiny lane that ends at a canal and we felt like locals staying there. Overall, this is a great place for any budget conscious person, who would also like to immerse a little in the Venetian life.
