I Live in the charming little town of delray beach and love it
There was nothing that made me feel welcome, unfortunately.
The host was hard to get ahold of. Even after leaving messages, both with voicemail and thru hub email, I arrived with questions unanswered.
We were welcomed by ants, a back door to the patio that wouldn't open and cockroaches. The iron was in 2 pieces in the closet. And it was not what I expected for the $2,000 that was paid to obtain it.
Nancy needs to be more accessible if she wishes to maintain a home for renters. The room with the 2 single beds - the bed next to the door had dirt on the bedspread. It made the room feel dirty and wasn't comfortable.
There was a half roll of toilet paper to last one week for 2 persons. I would think that whoever provides cleaning services could do better. The home was not dusted. The floors were sticky. So I question the $85.00 we paid for cleaning services. I'd like it back - because it wasn't clean.
Wow! What a terrible experience. The apartment was just as described except for leaving out the part about the roaches and air conditioning not working. I called Nancy 3 times at the time of arrival (12:09PM 10/30) to discuss check-in procedures but Nancy didn't answer or call back. Great start. After getting in the room we found it just as described but very warm. The air conditioner was running however the room was warm. We went to the beach, spent time with family and came back at (6:02PM 10/30) to a very hot room. I called Nancy again at (6:08PM 10/30) to report the issue but still no answer. (Read other reviews as there seems to be a pattern). Went to dinner, expecting a call back all the while. Arrived back at the room at (10:49PM 10/30) to a room much to hot to sleep in. Frustrated, I called Airbnb's customers service line to repot the issue. Airbnb's customer service was absolutely great!! Very understanding and wiling to help fix the problem. That night, my family had no choice but to find other accommodations due to the unlivable conditions of the apartment and stayed with other family members staying in the complex. It took Airbnb's calls to finally arouse a response from our host by (9:06AM 10/31) the following morning. Nancy was apologetic at that point and offered to have someone come out to look at the A/C unit as she new it was out dated. She agreed to have someone come by ASAP to fix the A/C unit and we agreed to stay the second night if the A/C had been repaired. As promised the A/C unit was repaired somewhere between the hours of (11:30AM and 4:00PM on 10/31) and my family and I found it cool enough to stay the night. Everything was fine other than dead roaches underneath the bed (Not noticed until check out. Glad to see the cleaning fees were spent well.)
The next morning I called Nancy on the way to the airport only to hear that she was not going to refund me for the first night since I didn't call and leave a message (false) and since she had the A/C fixed in 2 hours (false)...? Mind you the first call was at (6:08PM 10/30 - A/C fixed between 11:30AM-4:00PM 10/31). On the phone she was very rude and made many false statements. Overall it was a terrible experience and Nancy has no business being an Airbnb host. I hope no other family has to go through this same experience. Airbnb was great throughout the entire process and gave us a full refund for the first night due to the situation even though Nancy refused. I would not recommend using this host under any circumstances. I wish I could leave less then 1 star.

This is a really cute house, in a great neighborhood, on a quiet canal. The place has a ton of potential, and the host was very flexible with our early check-in request.
We did feel some small improvements could go a long way. The mattress in the master was older and sagging, the other uncomfortably firm. Also some of the touches we are used to receiving in other airbnb places were not present (i.e. only a few squares of TP left, no soaps or shampoos in bathroom, etc.). These were not a major inconvenience of course.
Again, host was easy to work with, and the house is in a great location, just a few small improvements would go a long way.
I never heard from the host the entire month I was there. I did email her twice with questions about cleaning. Although there was information posted about the rules which included that a cleaning service would come in once a week to change the sheets and clean the apartment, no one ever came. I ws forced to clean myself which I did not want to do on vacation.
The apartment is very comfortable. The beds are good. My only complaint is that the apartment looks great on the surface but is dirty everywhere you really look, especially if you move something.
Sorry but I never received any email about cleaning. We do not include a cleaning service. Not sure where you read that. Visited the unit three times with no answer.
We arrived to find an uncared for apartment, not to our liking at all. We started by puffing up cushions, separating the two beds that were cramped against the wall to find a dirty floor. Untidy cabinets in the kitchenette broken fixture in the shower, in all a very unpleasant experience.
Bad enough that, albeit we had paid a handsome price after one hour we left for better lodgings.

Highly recommend this apartment! Perfect for a couple or small family. Walking distance to the beach and avenue. The host Nancy was great with all accommodations.
I had a fantastic stay in Delray Beach.
The apartment was perfect. It had 2 beds, great shower, ideal kitchen & lovely communal garden & pool to relax in. Best thing it's only 3mins walk from the stunning beach & an easy walk to Atlantic Ave where all the shops & Resturant's are.
It's simple, clean & relatively quiet.
I would highly recommend it.
