Beth was wonderfully accommodating. My plans were very much in flux, and while the weather was completely uncooperative, Beth made a cold, rainy weekend much more tolerable. The home is set in the countryside, but less than a ten-minute drive from Clark's Summit. The room I stayed in includes a turret-like office nook with a nearly 270-degree pastoral view. The four-post bed was elegant and comfortable. Beth and I didn't overlap much in terms of "up and about" hours, but we did enjoy an hour-long discussion covering topics as diverse as science fiction/fantasy, life journeys, and the Confederate flag debate. I would gladly stay there again.
Upon arriving at Beth's home I had a couple of small travel issues that Beth quickly and patiently helped me with. She was so welcoming and gave me a quick tour of my Room which was Magnificent! A Master bedroom that was So comfortable, Clean and fit for a King! I had a good nights sleep in this beautiful country setting with no worries.
After enjoying a breakfast of fresh fruit/yogurt that Beth had prepared we had a wonderful conversation as I was about to leave which started my day off on a real positive note. I would highly recommend staying at Beth's home!!!
Beth is such a pleasant host, even after you startle her in the kitchen early in the morning - sorry again!
I enjoyed my stay, and look forward to my next visit.
Beth's place is truly amazing. It's out in the country side and very idyllic. Her home is spacious, the rooms bright and clean. I happened to have dinner with Beth and her family....it was a blast to say the least. Beth is extremely accommodating and makes a fantastic host!
Beth is a great host and has a lovely home. I enjoyed my stay and especially a quiet morning on the porch with coffee. I look forward to staying again when I am in the area.
Beth was most welcoming and she has a lovely house in a beautiful environment. Very nice stay!
I traveled through 4 states to Scranton PA to consult with a Holistic Dentist who has her practice there. A tough trip to make in the dead of winter. This was my first airbnb experience and it went great. I stayed two nights. Beth was very pleasant and accommodating and went over and above what would be expected to help me. She helped me with my bags (I am an overpacker) and one night when I was not feeling well she picked up some things I needed from a drugstore. She had two other guests there while I was there and that was no problem or issue. All was quiet and private... like, but so much better than a hotel or motel. She was friendly and we had some good conversation and tea around her kitchen table. It was a wonderful experience. One I will most likely repeat my visit again as I decided on my dental plan. Only if my teeth allow it I may wait for a little warmer weather for traveling.
I had the most wonderful time with Beth. While it was a very short stay I was able to spend the evening with her and some friends and some very good pizza. The ground sheet spectacular bed was so comfy I really didn't want to get up in the morning. I had the most beautiful view of the gorgeous fall mountains and the valley from my beautiful turret room. And I can't say how much I loved the shower, it was like my own personal spa! The property has numerous apple tree s that Berth made some very good Applesauce she shared. It was great to share our love of outdoors and animals with a kindred spirit.
Beth has a wonderful way about her, that you feel taken care of without feeling like she is right there. Plenty of privacy and lot's if fun looking at her farm horse and the view from her front yard? Beautiful! It was a wonderful place to land after a long day of driving.
Beth has a welcoming spirit as soon as you arrive at her charming home. She invited us for a relaxing walk & then encouraged us to play freely on her orchard...which we did! Her Victorian was built in 1916 with original antiques and a feeling of literally stepping back in time. Story book like.
Beth even made sure to have doughnuts my dtr. likes. Consider dropping by for a night at a Sweet Victorian nestled in the hills of picturesque Clark-Summit!
We returned the following week as we traveled from NY back home to Virginia. Melanie, her assistant, was real friendly & good hearted like Beth!
