I very much enjoyed my time at this cozy spot! Stephan was out of town when I arrived but arranged for a friend to give me a key which went smoothly. The location was great as it was a block from the union street subway entrance and a few blocks from the heart of park slope. Many nice shops and restaurants around, and the park was only a ten-15 minute walk. Quiet, secure building and the ac worked well which was nice as it was quite hot and humid on my visit. Charming little spot. I would stay here again next time for sure! Thanks!
I had a great month long stay at this very Unique, Sunny and Awesome apartment! The decor is fun and makes for a cozy environment. On cold winter days there was plenty to explore inside the apartment.
The location is super and is very easy to get into Manhattan, as well as around Williamsburg and Brooklyn. The neighborhood is lively and is an interesting mix of cultures.
The neighbourhood was not nice and the place needs better cleaning.
So beautiful and accommodating. The house is like a museum and the only ill thing I can say is we had a hard time sleeping but this was only due to the fact we were so engrossed in exploring the exciting objects throughout the area. Completely Wonderful!
Stefan was responsive and flexible, and his place is as unique and interesting as you'd expect based on the pictures. It is also super convenient - roughly a 5-7min walk to both the M and the L lines. Though I didn't have time to enjoy it, the DVD collection is superb (and quite extensive). And, the apartment is pretty spacious, especially for NY.
While quite tidy, the apartment needs a thorough dusting. Also - be warned: the hose connecting the shower head has some leaks, so water will come spraying out in unexpected ways as soon as you turn on the shower. Lastly, the apartment has radiator heating. It kicked on about every 45min - the radiator to the left of the bedroom hisses loudly, and the one to the right sounds like someone's banging on the pipes with a wrench. Not so bad once you know to expect it, but it is _loud_.
I might stay here again for the convenience alone, and having a responsive host is a huge plus. If you don't expect anything overly cushy, and are ok with some loud and recurring apartment noises, this is a unique find.
Me and my boyfriend Nick had an absolutely amazing stay in Stefan's incredible Brooklyn apartment! The space is beautiful and so interesting - we spent at least an hour looking and admiring everything when we first arrived! We were there for thanksgiving and loved cooking in the kitchen and watching films on the projector, it really felt like our Williamsburg home for the week! The apartment is well connected in terms of transport and makes you feel like a true New Yorker, I would definitely recommend it as a fantastic place to stay in NYC!
Stefan's place was great for my one night in Brooklyn. I booked last minute and he was very responsive. The apartment is full of fascinating objects and there are things to look at everywhere. The only shame was I wasn't there long enough to have a movie night with the projector.
We had an amazing (just under) 2 week stay at Stefan's lovely apartment. No problems on arrival, great range of transport options, close to hipsters in Williamsburg, but not too close. Amazing bagels at the Bagel Store a 15 min walk away (try the French Toast Bagels, we've even brought some back with us). The apartment was beautiful and inspiring, loved the home cinema experience Stefan has set up. Some clanking pipes as the heating kicked in, but no problems with ear plugs. Stefan also always replied promptly. Highly recommended.
I spent a few nights at Stefan's amazing place and had a great time! The apartment is conveniently located a few blocks away from several subway stops that will get you pretty much anywhere you need to go. The neighborhood itself isn't exactly the hip, ultra-gentrified Williamsburg you might be picturing (which is only a few quick stops away on the L) but it's definitely up-and-coming. Make sure to visit East Wick restaurant for their Shakshuka and burgers, and hop over to Dun-Well Donuts after for one of their world famous treats.
The apartment itself was a nice sanctuary for needing to take a quick mid-day nap or just relax for a while before heading out. Stefan has an eclectic collection of instruments, DVDs, books, and general eye candy to keep you entertained while you unwind at home. Stefan is also a very friendly and reasonable person if you need to contact him for anything. I fully recommend staying at his place!
Stefan was a wonderful host! I booked his place super last-minute, and my experience with him was helpful and warm. The space was not only fun to be in, with all of the interesting and beautiful historical pieces everywhere, but also tidy and clean. Thanks Stefan!
Great guest! Super chill, communicative, clean and cool. Highly recommend!

Stefan proved to be an easygoing and quiet guest. As two airbnb hosts, we got to share our experiences on the site and with our respective guests. Communication was easy. Hosting Stefan was a complete pleasure.

hi stefan, you were a perfect guest: independent, quiet and so clean that when I return I found my home sweet home as I had left it. As I got to know you as a trustworthy, open and genial person I can only recommend you! you are always welcome in my apartment and berlin again!
Stefan was a great host. He is very respectful and left our apartment perfectly clean. On top of that, he is very friendly and communicative. We strongly recommend him!
I have known Stefan and Taline for years and could not imagine a couple better suited for Airbnb hosting! First of all, their properties are in a great location; I have had many good times at the bars and restaurants in their neighborhood. Second, their mutual love for good design has translated into several amazingly decorated rooms. It seems like every time I visit I notice something new to love about their space. Last but not least, they are always dedicated to their guests! Whether it is for one of their delicious dinner parties or someone booked at one of their listings for a week, they are truly invested in making sure that you enjoy your time in their home. Theirs is the only place in Brooklyn I will ever stay!
