Healthy living, good vibes and loveliness all round :)
I work as a presenter on French television.
I am the full owner of the property and this is my main residence most of the year so you can be guaranteed attention has been given to every detail.
We were delighted to host Charlie, his sister and mother and are very happy that they would recommend the studio flat.
We feel however three elements in this review might give an erroneous impression to prospective guests, so we are happy to clarify :
1/ The first element is that the dryer did not function properly : It works perfectly fine and a manual is available in the flat (albeit in French). Had we been informed there was any question about its operating mode we would have gladly provided additional step by step to complete a full wash-dry cycle... but nothing was reported.
2/ The second thing is the mention that the nearby church "turns into a soup kitchen at night"; in actual fact, this only happens in winter months from 8pm to 9pm, where a christian charity hosts a traditional (and reknowned) gathering with volunteers from all walks of life, treating the less fortunate with a meal. This is a historical part of parisian life, is extremely well managed, and is totally over and cleaned by 9pm. There are absolutely no nuisances.
3/ Thirdly but importantly, we have no idea how Charlie could describe the area as "crowed with homeless people at night". The flat is located in one of the safest and most touristic area of central Paris (1st arrondissement, Montorgueil). We wondered what prompted that vision, and can only assume they came accros some vagabonds near the metro station (one of the busiest in Paris which was undergoing building works at the time of stay ), or that all French people they encountered nearby just had a terrible fashion taste ! :)
I invite guests to read the 70 add more reviews to check none of these points were ever an issue.
