Very much enjoyed my stay at the Tannery, great value, spacious and immaculate. Although I didn't get to meet Andy, he was very responsive, organised and polite to deal with. Would recommend or stay again when next in Hastings.
Kane and I had such a relaxing weekend away at Andy's. Everything was easy - details of our arrival, Andy's clean and lovely home which was in the perfect location, as well as Andy's tips of making the most of Hastings. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing break by the seaside. Thanks for having us!
Fantastic Hastings Escape. Lovely attention to detail and design throughout. Host very helpful and friendly
Andy was extremely friendly. His house is in a great location in the centre of old town Hastings. The house is spotless, and extremely attractive. Lots of nice books and magazines to browse and enjoyed the views from the lounge. There are nearby shops to buy your breakfasts or cafés. Would definitely recommend this - great place, great house, great host.
First time experience of airB&b and if this is anything to go by I just can't imagine ever staying in a traditional bed and breakfast or hotel ever again. In fact, I've subsequently booked a weekend in Brighton in a couple of weeks, (views of the pier), a quirky room in Camden Town early December, and a waterfront apartment in New York with views of the Manhattan skyline for Christmas! So I guess you could say I'm hooked!
So what can I say about the Tannery? First of all, Andy is the perfect host. I say this without having met the guy, but lots of communication via email meant that check in was simple and if the decor of the apartment was anything to go by he has great taste with lots of great art and quirky bits of furniture, (bought in the local shops I understand), creating a totally relaxing atmosphere. Interesting book collection in the library too. It's almost like playing your own version of Through The Keyhole trying to work out the character of who would live in a place like this. (Guessing someone in the creative arts, maybe a musician?)
And it's literally around the corner from one of the best streets in Hastings with fantastic cafes to drink coffee and eat cake and watch the world go by, lots of vintage shops full of unique furniture and bits and bobs populated by unique characters who were so friendly. A quick trip to the local deli, (within 5 minute walk) for breakfast ingredients and a newspaper from a shop a little further along resulted in the perfect lazy Sunday morning experience.
So i think you've guessed by now that we absolutely loved staying at the Tannery and will definitely be back. Ideally when it's not raining!
Thanks Andy. You have a fantastic home in a great location.
Amazing place and so close to a lot of awesome shops, pubs and restaurants! We will definitely be back, but hopefully for longer! Although we didn't get to meet Andy he was so easy going and made it such a simple process. Really recommended!!
Andy and Rachel are five star guests. They are very friendly and treated the apartment with care and respect. They are also interesting people and I would have liked them to stay longer just to have the chance to conversate with them a bit more. I hope they will come back, the door of Casita Sitges is wide open for them! Thank you.
Andy and Rachel were just amazing!
