We had an absolutely magical experience at the cabin! Rustic and filled with charm, we were comfortable from the moment we walked in. The lake is clear and clean- perfect to jump in right off the dock, and my kids claimed the floating dock as their "private island". No grown-ups allowed! Well, us "grown-ups" kayaked to our hearts content. Early in the morning to the sound of the loons, even after dark when the water is like glass and the mist wraps around you. The water was warm during the day even though the woods were quite chilly at night. Perfect for the fireplace! Smores, boardgames... the 5 and 7 year old didn't even miss TV! After they went to bed in the adorable upstairs loft bedroom, we sat and enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire. Perfectly relaxing. I loved sitting in the sun porch in the morning with my coffee and one of the MANY books they have to borrow. The only bad part of the trip was having to leave! I would recommend the cabin to anyone looking to have a peaceful, relaxing, fun filled getaway. Annie and her Mom Ingrid were the perfect hosts. Everything was exactly as decribed and they were very easy to work with! This cabin is truly something special!
We went to Beautiful Lake Cabin after a New York week and it felt like paradise. A quiet lake, wounderful scenery, green trees, blue water, a lot of things to do, 3 boats, a shelter full of things for children and adults. The kids enjoyed to jump in the lake and breath the fresh air. Also the little house, lively and comfortable equipped, a sweet little attic for the children to sleep and we enjoyed playing scrabble at the fireplace. It's a personal place and need to be treat carefully. Petra and family
No matter what you're looking for, this cabin has it. Want to hang out by a beautiful lake, swim and boat around, or sleep on the dock? The cabin's lakefront location, as well as the free boating and other equipment will allow you to do that.
Want a base for exploring the Adirondacks? The cabin is in a secluded but convenient location near two towns and
a road that can get you to any region if the park in about an hour or less. Or maybe you want to sit and play boardgames by a cozy fire indoors. You can do that too. In short, the cabin offers lots to do, a great location, and a comfortable interior setting at a great price. We loved it! And the owners were a pleasure to work with as well - they provided very helpful, detailed information and suggestions and were always willing to answer any of our questions. Overall, this was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
The beautiful lake cabin retreat was perfect for our needs - family of 3 from New Zealand. After the bustle of NYC we were looking for serenity and privacy in an idyllic waterside location where we could relax and enjoy the simple things in life, good company, swimming, hiking, canoeing and nature at its best.
The cabin is well equipped and well maintained and felt full of history and good family times. We would certainly stay again if we are lucky enough to visit the Adirondack's again.
This is a very special cabin and a true Adirondack lakeside experience. The home is kept immaculately and was the perfect retreat!
We had an amazing time at this lake side cabin. Extremely low‑key house and very relaxing. We spent three days at the house swimming, using the kayaks and canoe, and playing cards. The house is in a great location, at the end of friends lake and is very peaceful. Annie was a great host and was very easy to communicate with. We had no dramas at all checking-in or out, or being able to contact her with question we had along the way. An example of Annie’s amazing hospitality was seen when we arrived to the cabin and were greeted with a welcome note and an apple pie – which got the long-weekend off to a perfect start! The cabin itself is very basic, which didn’t bother us at all. But worth noting that although there is a toilet and sink indoors, the shower is located in the basement which can only be accessed from outside. None of this mattered for us, we had a brilliant time and would highly recommend the cabin for anyone looking for a quiet relaxed place to unwind for a few days with friends or family.
Annie and her mom were absolutely wonderful guests! Just a delight to talk to as they both have wonderful, outgoing personalities. They also left the room/house in tip top shape. Please return anytime!
