When I first joined airbnb, I wasn't thinking it would mean that much to me. Now I feel like I am totally involved in it. Getting to know new people, welcoming them, helping and guiding them in my local area is wonderful.
Like a big family :)

Zarifi was very welcoming and organized before arrival. We gave her number to the taxi driver and he, after a detour, finally arrived at the right place.
The apartment is ok. But the location is fantastic. Close to the tram station and walking distance to Galata tower and further to Taksim square. And a friendly atmosphere in the neighbourhood with local store and café.
Since we stayed in february it´s cold. And the floor is cold. Slippers is a good idea. Zarifi was a very good host and bought breakfast and organized also for taxi on our way back. It all went very smooth.
Since the imidiate surroundings looks more or less like a building site - don´t panic. The apartment is very cosy. And when Zarifi is installing a cabin to the shower (she should do it after our stay) hopefully you could take a shower without getting water all over the bathroom floor. The Internet is weak, you need to be in the kitchen for ok surf, but it worked fine.
I could recommend this apartment for a couple/friends who like to enjoy Istanbul at a great location and with possibilities to have some great walks.
the house is small, but comfortable, warm and gracious! is located in a nice neighborhood of Istanbul, a short walk from the tram and the Taksim Square, Zafiri is evidently a woman very kind and friendly, recommended!
Great place with a great location. Zarifi gave us a map with marked locations on where to eat and places to go. The apartment was great and had everything we could ask for. Would stay here again.
We had a very nice time in Istanbul, the host is lovely and the apartment is ideally located in the trendy neighbourhood of Beyoglu.
I highly recommend this place.
We are a couple of academics who have been to Istanbul many times. This Winter, we stayed in Zarifi’s apartment from December 26 to January 9. The apartment is located on a quiet street, midway between the shore of the Bosporus and Taksim Square. We arrived at midnight and gave our taxi driver Zarifi’s phone number so that she could direct him to the address (Istanbul is a maze) where she met us and showed us the apartment. The stairwell to the apartment is not very engaging — indeed, it is smelly and dirty (we don’t know how building maintenance works in Istanbul) but the apartment itself is spotless. What we enjoyed the most was the view from the kitchen/dining room side: large windows opening onto staggered rows of interesting buildings on a hill that slopes down to the Bosporus where you can see ferries and ships of all sizes (from gigantic cruise and cargo ships to fishermen’s boats) make their way up and down that unique waterway. The kitchen is modern, well-equipped and was perfect for us as we like to cook with local ingredients. A missing baking tray was promptly supplied by Zarifi, who responded to our queries almost instantly at any hour of the day. When we wanted a little table lamp to put by the side of the bed, she went and bought a lamp and brought it the next day. In theory the apartment could sleep 4 but in practice the sofa bed in the main room is smallish and not very comfortable; the place is ideal for a couple. The space is very well designed with the sleeping area almost like a separate room. The bathroom is large and modern. At least when we were there, the internet was discouragingly slow, much slower than any connection we have had in Istanbul over the years. Basically, we could only send and receive email (without attachments). Any other task or (website hidden) search and such would take minutes for a page to load up. Zarifi assured us that normally the connection is good, but because of the season’s holiday she could not get a tech to look at the connection in time.
To sum up, the place feels very safe; the area is great at any time and the apartment’s door is metal reinforced with a double lock that looked quite impregnable. It's a little home (approximately 65 square meters) away from home. We like to try new places when we come to Istanbul but we would stay here again without hesitation.
Great flat, highly recommended. The flat was just as described, really homely with lots of things provided such as towels, shampoo and other toiletries, tea, coffee, bottled water, DVDs, guidebooks...everything you could need. I love Cihangir, so was very happy with the neighbourhood. There were a lot of quirky restaurants and bars nearby but it was also very quiet considering it's not far from the mayhem of Istiklal.
Zarifi was very helpful with my friend who arrived before me and wasn't familiar with Istanbul, showing her where to go and get some lunch etc. Key pick up and drop off was stress free.
Will definitely stay again. Thanks very much Zarifi!
Отличное место! Это правда!
The apartment is even better than in looks in the photos! Well equipped, clean and almost impossibly well located. A couple of minutes from both Taksim square and a T1 tram stop. Zarifi made us feel very welcome, the communication and directions were great.
The flat was lovely, and Zarifi very helpful and enthusiastic in giving us ideas for things to see in Istanbul.
Unfortunately both the water (municipality was doing something) and the electricity (unknown) went off at different times. Don't think there was anything Zarifi could have done about either, but was a bit irritating.
I had a wonderful time in Istanbul because of Zarifi. She not only provided me with a darling apartment with a view of the Bosporus, but also introduced me to people and took me out to eat. She rescued me when I locked myself out. If you have a chance to get to know her, take it!
She is a very nice and easygoing person. She really takes care of her guests and share the local experiences and make them feel at home.
She is very friendly and will be a good host to you :)
