My husband Steve and I are both originally from the mainland US, but have lived on Maui for many years (I've been in Hawaii for over 40!). Steve works for the State of Hawaii as an ER Physician at a rural hospital close to our home. We enjoy our peaceful home which is located in Upcountry Maui, on the side of Haleakala Crater. Having retired from a career in media, I have been teaching meditation since 2001 and also enjoy serving the community as a Hospice volunteer. Steve loves to surf in his time off. We both enjoy time in the kitchen--he is an excellent cook and I love to bake. Trying to be as environmentally conscious as possible, we drive an electric vehicle powered by the solor panels that provide all the energy we need for it and our home. We have no children, but have a large, wonderful family who have provided us with more nieces and nephews that we can count (somewhere over 40). Our first trip to Europe last year was wonderful and we look forward to going back this autumn! Life is good!
