The Limestone Beauty was so homey and comfortable, and a great place to be. It is literally a few yards from great shops and eating places, in the type of neighborhood you read about in New York; bustling, diverse, everything at your fingertips. We had a great time. Brian was away on vacation the week we were there, but he was in touch all the time by email, and was extremely enthusiastic and helpful. I would recommend it to anybody.
Very nice space and very clean! Close to shops and restaurants.
I would definitely recommend this lovely apartment to anyone traveling to Brooklyn or Manhattan! Very conscientious host. It was nice having washer and dryer if you are spending several days there!
Brian was very accessible and was very easy to work with. We rented his cute garden apartment for five nights. It was clean and located in a safe neighborhood. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this cozy apartment.
His place was comfortable for four people, but it was not a legitimate 1 bedroom as described. There was no private space, and all guests had to walk through the bedroom area to get to the bathroom. In addition, there was not a true bed in the apartment. The bed in the bedroom appeared to be a second, full size sofa sleeper; maybe with a real mattress? While this was comfortable for one, two struggled to get a good nights sleep. The front bed was a typical sofa sleeper as described.
There were a couple more let downs. The TV supplied no live television, no news, no Sportscenter, but there was an abundance of movies and TV shows recorded and available to watch. In addition, there is a family that lives above the apartment with small children, who you could hear every morning, fairly early, having breakfast and running around. Their kitchen sounds to be right above the bedroom section of the apartment.
Brian was very nice and helpful throughout the rental process. Overall, his apartment was lovely, just not what I would really want for five days of vacation. Thank you.
Great spot in a nice neighbourhood, Brian was very helpful, couple of very small negatives, in reality it's a studio as there is nothing dividing bedroom from rest of area and it is a little noisy from upstairs
A very good experience in general
Brian was very friendly and helpful!! The apartment was fixed up very nicely with a large screen TV, washer & dryer, and other conveniences. The Bayridge area had a more of residential feel to it, but there were plenty of good restaurants and bars. The commute to midtown was a bit long, but it helped to have the express train nearby.
We were 4 and spent one week in Brian's apartment in the discovery of New York. The apartment is in a very quiet district, close to restaurants and to the subway. It is very clean, functional and private. Brian is a very available and accomodating host, and of good advice. We deeply recommend you this rent.
First off, Brian is a really nice person, enjoyed meeting him. Brian is very good at communicating and responds quickly to texts and other inquiries.
I stayed in this apartment for about a month total, spread out over two different trips. It is a nice place, very clean. On Thursdays, their housekeeper cleans it and leaves everything looking very nice.
One should bear in mind when renting that this apartment is the basement of their home and they do use it when it is not rented, though they keep the door to the upper floors locked when there are tenants. Their washer/dryer is in the apartment and it is an awesome feature for a long term tenant. The bathroom is very nice with a large shower. The kitchen is not really a full kitchen though it does have a small fridge, a hot plate, a toaster oven and an ice maker.
The bed is a pull out from a couch though it was surprisingly comfortable. I slept well on it.
The neighborhood is safe, after all it is Bay Ridge. There are lots of good eating in the immediate area. You can find anything nearby: Wine, pizza, pharmacy, anything really. The subway is close too.
That is all.
Brian and his family left our house clean and in good order. We would be happy to have them stay here again.
Elayne was a good host. She treated the flat as if it was hers
