Lori was an excellent host and the guest suite was perfect for my stay in Seattle. The bed is very comfortable and the view of the water is incredible. I will definitely choose to stay at Lori's place again the next time I go to Seattle.
Our stay was excellent! Very comfortable and well appointed.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Lori. The large bed room replete with en suit bathroom and shower were perfect. Great view of the harbor and the Olympics (on clear days). Queen Anne central location with easy parking was especially convenient. Would recommend to others.
I had the most wonderful stay at Lori's beautiful Lower Queen Anne home. I chose the place based on the great reviews and pictures but also because she has 2 kids and I wanted to stay at a place where I could tell someone else was in the house. They were by no means disruptive, just active enough to let me feel like I was visiting an old friend or a relative I hadn't seen in a long time (the good kind of relative).
Lori is the definition of flexible and patient (motherhood will do that!) and even though I had issues with booking and getting to her place at our designated meeting time, she still welcomed me with a smile on her face and a glass of bubbly! She was more than generous with her pantry and fridge, which had just enough scribbly drawings to make you smile as you walked by. The house was clean, warm and comfortable with large windows letting in plenty of light- very important with Seattle weather. There have been a few reviews about there not being a good enough view from the room- which may be true based on what you want a view of. I enjoyed my view out the East window of the beautiful houses in the neighborhood, and out the West window of lots of boats parked in the marina. However, if it is the well-known view of downtown Seattle, all you have to do is walk a block uphill and you have it. Speaking of the hill, the only thing that was unexpected was the incline of the street in front of her house. It's nothing unmanageable as long as your car has good brake pads however, walking up and down the street is the best cardio you will get during your stay. The location of her home made it super convenient to get downtown, Pike Place, to the UW campus, and anywhere that you would take using I-5 (like Woodinville). It is minutes away from Queen Anne Ave which has so many delightful places to eat, shop, and be entertained.
I would very highly recommend staying with Lori who makes such an effort to make you feel as welcome as family but gives you as much privacy as a guest. I'm not sure If I want to stay with her again because I loved Seattle, or if I want to return to Seattle just to stay with her.
Very good communication previous to arrival. Friendly welcome. Good wifi. Very clean.
not great for napping since the boys voices carry upstairs. Can see the water far away but no great view especially when trees have leaves. Would be nice to have a little coffee maker and mini fridge in the (website hidden) bath mat. A few things like body lotion and shampoo that wasn't dandruff shampoo would be nice.
Lori was a wonderful host and very helpful. The private guest suite was very clean, neat and private. I will definitely stay again the next time I am in Seattle. Thanks Lori!
Stayed 3 nights in October. Lori and her husband were great hosts. Communication before arriving was always fast and helpful. The room is in the upper floor of the house which keeps it completely private. Very comfortable bed and cozy area. The room is exactly as pictured.
Lots of space, ample closet, large bathroom although the shower is a little small but water pressure was very nice.
Location is great, close to restaurants and shops, and minutes to many Seattle hot spots.
Great view in the mornings and Lori is very generous with breakfast options.
We had a car and there is always parking on the street.
We don't have kids and the only negative for us is that you can hear the kids downstairs being loud very early in the morning before 7 am. We knew the house had kids and some noise was expected.
If noise doesn't bother you early in the mornings, this is a perfect place to stay.
Clean and spacious accommodations in one of Seattle's nicest neighborhoods. Most city attractions are a short walk or taxi ride away. Bed was comfortable, shower worked great, space was larger than it appeared in airbnb photos. Semi-private entrance through a very pleasant kitchen. Nice courtyard to sit in. I was made to feel very welcome and well accommodated by the host. I appreciated a well mapped out jogging route. I had a great time, and would stay here again.
Accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean! The entire 2nd floor provides a private space with a bedroom area, office area with desk, and it's own large bathroom.
Lori stayed in frequent contact throughout the entire process (this was my first AirBnb). Although she was out of town during my stay she arranged to have someone meet me at the house and show me around. I had some last minute changes on arrival time and they were very flexible to accommodate my schedule.
The house is located in a beautiful and safe area of Seattle, with amazing views.
Looking forward to staying with Lori again during my next visit!
Lori and her husband were perfect guests. She was very considerate of my time with regard to their arrival, and a great communicator. They absolutely were the perfect guests! I hope that they can return in the future.
