We just loved staying at the retreat. Julie was super-helpful... and I mean, Gold-Medal helpful!! The house itself is cozy and private and the magnesium pool is something to behold. We will be back !!
Comfortable home with character in a serene and beautiful location. We spent a week there with our family of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the property. Nice open plan family / kitchen / meals area with 3 French doors opening onto a spacious deck / verandah, overlooking a nice swimming pool among beautifully landscaped gardens and a valley with a private lake and rainforest walks. Julie was a great host, welcoming and showing us around the property and giving us some tips on local attractions / things to do and see.
Julie was very welcoming and helpful. The place is fantastic - secluded and spacious. Our only little hiccup was the pool filter being left off by the previous visitor but otherwise very clean.
Julie's place was amazing! The house is bigger and better than the pictures let on. The property is huge ( there are two bush walks)! And that pool is a lot of fun.
Julie provided everything- even snacks and drinks upon arrival.
We would definitely stay again. If you're thinking of booking- do it!
Julie s house is so perfect.
Big rooms, very large pool, beautiful pass in the rain forest.
Julie is very welcoming and friendly. We recommand the place. The place is exceptionnal moreover Julie is full of skills and knowledge. Have a look to her gallery it is a very nice craft work and collection for sale.
Julie was a great host! She is very attentive and funny and made us feel very welcome. She also gave us great advice on places to visit. We really enjoyed the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere of Yarralen Retreat and it's beautiful surroundings. Julie really has put a lot of heart and creativity into the place and has created a unique hide-away. We particularly loved waking up to birdsong, have breakfast on the veranda and swim in the pool.
We would really like to come back!
Great stay at Yarralen retreat. We stayed just the one night but really enjoyed our time with Julie and would highly recommend this as a stop off or longer stay. Julie was a fantastic host and was very welcoming to us and another couple that were there. We had a really fun evening together - relaxed dinner with lovely company, topped off with a dip in the magnesium pool!
We stayed at Julie's house on our way back to Brisbane from Sydney. It was a lovely place to shake off the road fatigue, with a dip in the pool and a home cooked meal waiting for us. She provided us with lovely homemade breakfast goodies in the morning, and we enjoyed seeing her artwork. The house is close to the Pacific highway, but it feels like a remote tropical destination.
