David's apartment was everything he said it was. Plenty of living space, very comfortable bed, private parking, bright and clean. The neighborhood is simply terrific. A short walk to a Paris quality bakery, lots of bars and restaurants and shopping. The bus stops right out front and the St. Charles streetcar is a short walk away. All in all it's an excellent place to stay when in New Orleans.
EXCELLENT host! EXCELLENT location! EXCELLENT unit! This unit is clean, comfortable, and located in a convenient area with all support facilities within walking distance. Audubon Park is a short walk away. Public transportation is available via the Magazine #11 bus which is on the same block as the (website hidden). Charles street car is also in walking distance. Surrey's restaurant and La Boulangerie are close by and great for breakfast. I can not wait to go back home to NOLA and stay here, again. Thank you, David!
This mid-Uptown New Orleans apartment is perfect for those who want to be able to explore Magazine St., the Garden District and Tulane/Loyola without being too far from downtown. There's a nice living room and kitchen area for functionality, and a good BBQ spot and great bar close by for (website hidden). Charles and the streetcar line is just a couple blocks away.
The only negative I can come up with is the bathroom because it is small. And I don't know if it has cable/regular TV. Other than that this place is a gem. Highly recommend it. Plus the owner is easy and friendly.
David was a great host. He checked in to see if we were enjoying our stay and provided recommendations to local restaurants and bars. The apartment was lovely and has a fantastic location. We enjoyed walking along Magazine St, with a ton of great restaurants and bars only a few minutes away. The street car to the French Quarter was convenient and we loved seeing the different neighborhoods. Highly recommend the apartment to anyone visiting New Orleans!
Absolutely perfect. David's place is in the best location for anyone looking to experience the real New Orleans without all the Bourbon St riff raff. The apartment is ideal for a couple but a third party would be comfortable as well. David is the perfect host; very communicative and available for all your needs but also not up your butt 24/7. Everything was just so clean, comfortable, and EASY! We came for Mardi Gras, and this location was incredible. The bus stop is just right out front but we had no problem walking everywhere we wanted to go. And all the Sunday parades are right outside your door! Bacchus, Orpheus, and others were just a few blocks away. I didn't use my car the entire time! We walked to so many incredible restaurants and clubs, including Pascal's Manale and Tipitina's. This is definitely my new favorite place to stay in NOLA.
My husband and I loved our stay at David Morhrman apartment. He was as nice as one can be to us. It has a nice environment, the neighborhood is lovely and it has a very nice restaurant just across the street.
We would certainly go back whenever we return to New Orleans. We have relatives living there.
We stayed at the Magazine Sanctuary for a long weekend while attending a conference at the convention center. The apartment is exactly as advertised and as shown in the pictures - clean, bright and comfortable. There are great reading lights in both the bedroom and living area. The bed is very comfortable. The shower has great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessary appliances, pots and pans and utensils. Can't speak for air conditioning because it was cold, but the heat worked great. With a bus stop right outside the door, the bus was the best way to get back and forth to downtown. The neighborhood is just what we were looking for - grocery stores within 1/2 mile, convenience stores, and lots of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. We did not meet David but he replied to our texts and emails immediately with all the information we needed. Yes, we thoroughly enjoyed staying here and will recommend it to our friends.
David was an excellent host, he even checked in with us via text to make sure we made it to the apartment okay on arrival and to wish us a safe trip on our way home! The apartment is clean, beautiful, secure and has everything you could need on your trip to NOLA. The neighborhood is lovely and has great places to eat like Surrey's Uptown across the street and Pizza Domenica. Close to the park, near Tulane/Loyola, and the 11 bus was super convenient. Overall, a quiet space in a charming neighborhood with easy transportation.
I had a lovely stay in David's Uptown apartment. The place is comfy and so stylish! And in the middle of a great neighborhood with lots of fabulous restaurants and shops. I was attending a conference at the Convention Center, and it was so easy to hop on the 11 bus and get downtown in about 20 minutes. Thanks, David!
David's place was wonderful and exactly as pictured. It was our first time in New Orleans and you can tell that he's got a lot of NOLA pride from how charming and set up the apartment was. Everything was incredibly clean and the location could not have been better. It was right next to a bus stop (literally walk outside and it's at the corner) and it was a short 7 blocks away from the St. Charles streetcar. David was super responsive and courteous when we had questions. We had breakfast at Surrey's and got around very easily. It was a breeze to hop on the bus or streetcar and make our way down to Canal, The French Quarter, Jackson Square and Frenchman Street. Magazine street itself was awesome and lined with boutiques, bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend David's place and when we visit again, we'll look to book with David. Truly a fantastic NOLA experience.
