I'm from Pistoia, a very nice town near Florence, and I'm 24.
I'm used to travel a lot for work, I'm a designer, and, mostly, to have fun and know different cultures!!!

Marta's place was amazing. It is in a quiet location about a 5 minute walk from the main square. The apartment was clean and perfect for 1-4 four people. Marta even left towels out for my parents who were going to spend the night with me. The apartment has everything you need. Separate bathroom and shower so you don't have to wait for someone to finish up with one or the other to use it. A big kitchen if cooking is on your mind. There is a small market right next to the apartment as well. It was also nice to have fresh air with the windows open. Also, it is about a 15 minute walk max from the train station. I wouldn't recommend walking with luggage (a taxi will only set you back 5-7 Euro) but backpackers could easily walk there. For a quick espresso or cappuccino there is a small cafe about 100 meters away.
Marta and Andre's were not there to great me but their families hospitality was fantastic. I arrived late from Rome and I believe it was Andre's parents were waiting for me to let me in. Also, when I locked myself out Marta's mother arrived within 25 minutes to let me in. I could not thank them enough.
I had a wonderful stay in Pistoia meeting up with family there for the first time. I could not have picked a better place to stay that helped me enjoy my time in the town. If you are coming to visit this great town please look into staying at Marta and Andre's apartment. You will feel truly at home as opposed to staying in a hotel!
The flat gave an authentic Tuscan experience of living in a smaller centre. It was also a great location for setting out to explore surrounding centres such as Pisa and Florence. We had a lovely visit to Pistoia.
Marta's place was a good base for us to see some of the surrounding areas. It would have been better if the cooking facilities was better as the kitchen was a camp stove with some BBQ gas bottles in the cupboard underneath. Also be aware no kettle and the toaster is old and is a wind up one. The shower walls and ceiling were mouldy. The pillows were lumpy too. Other than this the place was fine and the nearby square was a good place to eat. Marta communicated with us pretty well and her brother and father were very helpful when we needed assistance with the internet and wifi. Be also aware that there is only meter parking next to apartment and free parking about 5-7 minute walk away. Be careful of ticket machine and parking bays as we got a parking ticket even though we put money in the machine. Apparently we parked in the wrong section. Pistoia is a nice old place with lots to see and close enough to drive to other sights.
Such lovely photos, which show the apartment as it is. We were made to feel welcome from the start, though we unfortunately didn't meet Marta personally. The neighbourhood is central but quiet, historically interesting and well connected.
All our needs were catered for, the apartment is well stocked and the supermarket is nearby. Marta and Andrea offered so many tips and were always available to answer questions.
Pistoia is well situated for day trips, we saw Florence, Pisa, Viareggio, Lucca, Vinci and not to forget all the delights of Pistoia itself.
Dear Marta and Andrea, We thank you again for the very well organised and warm Welcome, Information and Stay! We experienced your Flat as very clean, cosy and decorated with artfully (a lot of Pictures and Paintings) and practical things (Citymaps, Books, Wifi...) Everything worked and was easy to handle. Your Parents were lovely and very patient as we had a delay. Also the little and very authentic city Pistoia we higly recommend. As a tipp, the Pistoia Blues Festival in July is a great Experience. Also perfect to rent an Apartment in Pistoia while visiting Florence/Firenze. Its only 40 Minutes with the Train/ Car away. We wish you both a wonderful Time and Summer! We would come again with pleasure and meet you personally! Kind Regards, Gregor and Jasmin
Marta and Andrea met us exactly at the prescribed time. She kept in touch with us before we arrived so everything went great. The apartment is in a great location. A few minutes walk to everything. 10 minute walt to train station. We had a car and free parking was a few minutes walk away. The apartment has everything you need to stay and cook comfortably. There was wifi in the apartment. It is very safe and quiet. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. The bed was soft for me but I like a very hard bed. Most people will find it fine. Pistoia is a great town, my grandfather was born there. It's an easy drive or train ride to everything. I would definitely recommend it as a great place and value. Can't wait to go back again.
If you want to live like a local in a lovely apartment on a pretty little square in a gorgeous Tuscan town, you will love this delightful destination. We had a marvellous time and strongly recommend Marta,s lovely old apartment in Pistoia . Thanks Marta for a really special 10 days
Marta's apartment was wonderful, it was spotless, roomy and very well located to the old town which we explored as well as some very nice restaurants.
Marta suggested a restaurant for our 45th wedding anniversary which was fantastic, it was one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in our European trip so far.
Andrea's parents met us at the apartment and although they don't speak a lot of English we managed to converse and they showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment. I would not hesitate to recommend Marta & Andrea's apartment to anyone who wants a base to explore Tuscany.
Thank you to Marta and Andrea for a wonderful long stay in their place in Piazza san Lorenzo. It is a perfect place from which to explore the under-rated surrounds of Pistoia, with its treasures. We particularly enjoyed the passegiata with other citizens every day around the Piazza Duoma. The apartment is clean and cool and handy to everything - bakery, coffee shop, fruit and vegies, and a hop step and jump from Piazza della Sala. Firenze, Lucca, Pisa and Montecatini Terme all in easy reach by train. Peter and Jacquie
Logement spacieux et bien placé. Pistoia est une petite ville agréable.
Merci beaucoup Marta d'avoir répondu à toutes nos questions et pour cet agréable séjour.
Je conseille cet appartement.
