Amel is a great host! She will make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. She is extremely understanding and kind, she even drove me to the airport at 5 am last minute due to me mixing up my travel dates! The room was big and the house was felt very homely. It is also very close to the train station and easy access to all the top attractions in Rome. Thank you so much Amel!
I like cozy rooms which on the one hand are not so expensive and on the other hand have good conjuction to the city center. Host Amel kindly explained me how effectively spend three days in Rome when I asked her for some advice. Thanks a lot!
Good location, only 5mins walking to metro. Near super market and restaurants... Big room, valuable price for the stay! Thanks Amel!
Although it could be considered as a "safe place" to rest our heads at night, for our first Airbnb experience, this was quite the disappointment. First, AC is advertised. This is completely misleading- no AC whatsoever, not even a fan to help circulate air. There was clearly an AC unit in our room and when asked to turn it on, Amel ignored us. We ended up sleeping on the ground 3 out of the 4 nights to try and stay cool. It was miserable. Amel wasn't present much which is fine but again, breakfast is advertised and paid for which we barely received. One day she "came home too late" to set up the coffee and milk. Toast packets and jelly packets were empty the first day we got there and were never refilled (toast was refilled once). The shared bathroom was a mess. The floor floods every time anyone showers. Bathroom mat or even a towel would solve this problem. Very slippery and dangerous. The kitchen is her area so we weren't able to use it and when we tried to put our plates away or get a spoon, we were awkwardly shooed away. No trash cans so we didn't know where to put our empty water bottles. One afternoon, power was randomly out meaning no wifi, Chargers for our phones or warm showers. Our experience in Rome was miserable with this uncomfortable living situation.
Amel was very kind. She gave us a lift to the airport (for $)since we wouldn't have been able to make our flight on time with public transportation. She also helped us on the second day so settle our itinerary and gave us some tips! Location was decent Our room was clean. We had locks on the doors which was great. However, we had a hard tine finding the place and getting into the building when we arrived. Also--- something that really disappointed us-- was that there was no air conditioning (not even a fan), yet it was written in the description...Breakfast was "italian"... Coffee and cookies. 1 morning we made it ourselves, since she wasn't home.
In all , it was a decent place. We just didn't really see the b&b part of our stay. Just a couple things that can be adjusted to make better, but can serve as a good base to explore rome!
Amel is a very nice host, she oerfjsnkky came to pick us up at the station even though she lived a five min walk away ... The room was perfect size and very comfortable. The neighbourhood is quiet, it's a bit far from the centre of Rome but it's close to the metro so it wasn't too bad.
The only downfall was that there aren't a lot of places to eat in the area when you want to grab a quick bite to eat but it wasn't a big deal. The area is very safe.
Amel has a lovu apartment, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Rome !
A hospitable and very pretty girl makes you feel at home always :) The house is beautiful and is 5 minutes from the metro
