Prototypical Brooklyn girl, which means I garden in my back lot, knit, do yoga in my living room, cook, host dinner parties, and ride my bike around my lovely neighborhood.
Jeannie was extremely accommodating and was willing to rent her room to us during the holiday season. The appartement was very nice, we had access to all common areas. It really is a quiet place to stay and it's not too far from the city. Fun bars and restaurants within walking distance. Though her roommate was present, she was very quiet and we did not feel like we were intruding. Special mention to Fatty, the cat! He is super friendly. I'm looking forward to renting the room again in the future!
We did not have any problem finding parking on the street and wifi worked fine as well.
Very grateful to Jeannie Rose for providing a warm, peaceful place to stay during Christmas week while I visited family who live nearby. I was sorry not to meet either Jeannie Rose or her housemate but got lots of affection and attention from her sleek, funny cat. I appreciated the clean, comfy double bed, a variety of blankets, space to hang my clothes and stash my bags. Her housekeeping suited my personal preferences: the radiator in the bedroom wasn't pouring out heat, and no strongly scented laundry or bathroom products were used: thank you! Hope I can visit my Brooklyn family (especially the Arboretum & Prospect Park) and stay there again this spring.
Jeannie Rose was very hospitable. I did not meet her in person but she gave me instructions by phone. She put out clean linen and the apartment was neat and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the neighborhood is fun and feels safe. Lots of good places for brunch.
Thank you Jeannie for the cosy room and for the time you spend answering question on NY. Good Flat, good people, good neighborhood. I wish you all the best.
Jeannie's apartment was comfortable and convenient to where we wanted to be in Brooklyn. We never met Jeannie, who decamped to make room for us. That situation provided the one uncomfortable aspect of our stay; her room was crowded with her stuff, leaving little room for our stuff.
The rest of the apartment was a pleasure to hang around in. Her roommate was friendly and accommodating, the kitchen was convenient, and the living space was comfortable and clean. Despite her physical absence, Jeannie stayed closely in touch with us and kept track of how we were doing.
We would definitely stay there again.
Comfortable bed, neat clean well organized apartment. Very nice.
Excellent bagel and coffee place down the street, nice to be near the Brooklyn Museum and park. Pleasant diverse neighborhood.
Jeannie is an awesome host who's very welcoming and helpful. The apartment is very small (which is expected in nyc) but very cozy! Enjoyed our stay a lot! The cat is very friendly and really likes people too! Neighborhood is generally nice, with train stops not far away, and a nice place to have breakfast called Tom's.
Jeannie is a kind and nice girl.
She´s very kind and open to new experiences.
I should receive her again and again.
Jeannie Rose is an absolutely wonderful, warm person. She does the most fun Brooklyn activities, cares about people and their stories, and thrives off of genuine conversation about meaningful topics. She knows her neighborhood well - not just the 'stuff to do' but also the 'stuff you didn't know you wanted to know but actually do' - which is a huge help for anyone visiting. Two thumbs up!
Jeannie Rose was a STELLAR roommate. I lived with her for a couple months when I first moved to NYC. She is a fabulous cook and very generous with her food, friendship and encouragement. She would always offer a sample or whatever she was making, and I would always say "Um, SURE," because her food was always amazing. Very energetic, fun, and her adorable cats will become your friends too.:)
I met Jeannie a few years back while I was visiting my boyfriend in NY frequently. She's charming, fun, and a very kind-spirited woman. I stayed with her several times--she keeps a very tidy home and has really cute cats. She's also quite the cook. Neighborhood is fan-freaking-tastic, hands down.
Jeannie is a nice person who is very energetic, exciting, trustworth and fun to be with.
Jeannie and her apartment are great! I lived with her for three months. Apartment is cozy, neighborhood is fun and vibrant, lots of cool stuff in walking distance, and it has convenient access to subway lines. I particularly enjoyed being so close to Prospect Park. And Jeannie Rose is a most excellent human being.
