Hi my name is Peter. I am self employed, married architect and father of 3 located in Galway, Ireland.
Peter and his wife were lovely hosts. The Lodge was spotless and beautiful and the breakfast each morning was fantastic.
They had a great list of recommendations for various outings, day trips, etc. and the location of the accommodations was easy to drive into downtown Galway (15 minutes by car) or for day trips to the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara Mountains, etc.
The west coast was the highlight of our 6 day trip in Ireland and our stay at the Lodge made it ideal.
Highly recommend - the location, accommodations and people are all fabulous!
Peter and Angela offer guests a beautiful stay outside of the Galway area. The view out from the main room is gorgeous, overlooks a meadow with horses. The flat has charm with its mixture of antique and modern decor. Plenty of local information for day trips around the area.
We recommend traveling out to Connemara, visiting Kylemoore Abby and heading to Clifden for a late lunch. One must see is the sky road scenic drive, views are incredible from here! We made it up to the lookout point but the road does continue if time allows.
We were treated to a nice bottle of wine and a note congratulating us on our recent marriage! Nice touch and very welcoming place. We will return some day to stay again.
Beautiful place! Extremely clean and comfortable. Reasonable distance from Galway in a quiet location. Peter was very helpful with suggestions of restaurants in the area. Because we were only staying one night, we decided to stay put for the evening. Wish we could have stayed longer! We would most definitely stay there again!

We had a fantastic experience staying with Peter and Angela. The studio apartment is above their garage and beautifully furnished. The apartment has every amenity you could ask for apart from a stove/oven. Everything is high quality, and I even asked where I could buy the mattress our nights were so amazing.
They have a great DVD selection, plenty of information about local attractions, and provided a great croissant/fruit breakfast along with coffee/tea and yogurt. The view from the apartment of their lush backyard is beautiful and peaceful to see.
Note: We did have a bit of difficulty finding their home originally (as did our GPS), so make sure to get detailed instructions from Peter before you leave if you are traveling without phone/internet. There are several streets with the same name in the area, so his directions were incredibly helpful.
Thank you so much!
Our hosts, Peter and Angela, were very hospitable and welcoming. The studio is really comfortable, tastefully furnished, even including lovely fresh flowers, well equipped, has a gorgeous view and is in a great location to explore Galway and Connemara. Breakfast was yummy, including fresh summer fruits from the garden. We can highly recommend it.

Thank you very much for our wonderful stay :)
The lodge is really fantastic, both in terms of interior design and in terms of relaxing view. Lovely breakfast, comfortable bed, well-equipped bathroom and kitchen (microwave - no cooker), some good books about Ireland and everything super-clean!
Angela and Peter were very nice and also helpful by email before our arrival.
For those who need it: sometimes the wi-fi did not work well, but it was no problem for us.
So... highly recommended!!
Beautiful location and wonderful house :) Breaky each morning was beautiful, especially our last morning with our early start back to Dublin to find fruit salad and breaky bars in the little letter box was wonderful :) Thanks for having us! We loved Ireland and will definitely be back :)
Wonderful hosts and beautiful apartment just outside of the city. The view is gorgeous.
What a wonderful place, in a fabulous location.
As soon as we arrived, we felt immediately at home. Having been up since 5am travelling, I was delighted to find myself in what is 5 star accommodation. The bed is exceptionally comfortable with good quality linen. The bathroom was stocked with a range of toiletries (going far beyond my expectations, and even included a first aid kit, hotel style hair dryer etc). The kitchenette/kitchen area had everything I could wish for; (email hidden) and fresh Costa Coffee...then, in the morning, the delightful arrival of warm croissants and fresh fruit salad. Perfect! Thank you!
A place we will visit again when on the West Coast of Ireland!
The place was nice....although quite a bit further from the city center than I expected (about 1/2 hour drive). This was a bit of a hassle for us when we were driving back in the middle of the night. Also, after leaving, we received an email from Peter telling us that we broke the toilet seat...which we did not...and he was looking for $117. Not only did we not break the toilet seat but the idea of asking for such an outrageous amount of money for a toilet seat (which I know is less expensive than that) was really disappointing.
