I was born in Scotland/but have lived most of my adult life in London. I used to be a journalist but now I work in publishing. I've written one novel, and am a keen cook (I used to be a restaurant critic for the Financial Times) but nowadays mostly eat in my own kitchen. I don't eat meat which has only made me a more inventive cook. I am very artistic, chatty, travel with my (quiet) partner, and the two of us are very relaxed, nature-loving, animal-loving (especially him), quiet people with good sense of humour.
