This was my first time using airbnb and could not have asked for a better experience. Trevor's apartment was comfortable and spacious. Sitting atop a hill in beautiful north beach, the place had amazing views of the bay. Trevor also left a number of suggestions for places to eat and visit which were really helpful. Overall I had a great time staying here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit San Francisco!
Trevor's place is pretty amazing. It's atop the Telegraph Hill, offering really unbelievable views! The apartment is in an old house with a nice San Francisco charm to it. tall windows and even taller ceilings. because of that the rooms are quite big in colume therefore it IS a bit cold, but I'm sure that isn't a problem in warmer months. Hot water takes a while to reach the faucet in the hand sink, but the one in the shower is hot within seconds, which is great! The house DOES have a lot of awesome vintage artifacts, and therefore does smell a bit vintage, but it won't bother you much, I stopped noticing it pretty fast. There is a big kitchen with a gas stove and a kettle if you like tea in the morning. There are no bugs/rodents int he house. for it's age it seems very well maintained.
Trevor himself is also a great host. Very responsive. We communicated through email during my stay at the place, and every inquiry I've made was addressed literally within minutes. Internet subscription at the apartment ran out one night during my stay - I shot an email to him over my phone and within 5 minutes the problem was fixed.
Overall great place, amazing location, great host, no nuisances. Definitely worth the price! :]
The flat has great view, overlooking the Bay Bridge round the corner. However, it is almost unreachable by public transport. SF is so hilly, so unless you are driving/ really fit, I wouldn't recommend you to stay here esp. if you have older people traveling with you. The deco in the flat was tasteful, how ever it smelled like vintage. The host forgot we had 3 people staying so we were not offered enough beddings at first, and the beddings we eventually had had blood stains on them. The glasses in the kitchen was very dirty too. The blinds in the living room were working so privacy was lacking. Overall cleanliness was not really acceptable given the price was way more expensive than motel rooms.
Words cannot describe how much we lucked out staying here. Trevor's place was fantastic and the location was amazing. We couldn't believe the amount of space his place offered not to mention all the wonderful suggestions made by Trevor- we really got to know SF outside of the touristy Golden Gate bridge bike tour.
Trevor's place was clean and comfortable, and he left us clear instructions on how to get into the apartment, and how to leave it when we left. We had a great stay.
