Erika was a great host, her directions and instructions were very helpful and the cottage was clean and peaceful. We loved the river behind the house and the patio to enjoy the view. We had a great nights rest!
This is a cozy little cottage, just as described. Many thoughtful details throughout. Plus, there is a bonus shared deck facing a gorgeous river and natural area on the property. An unexpected treat. We only stayed for one night, but I took a look at the guest gear area and it is totally stocked with boogie boards, snorkel gear, water coolers, etc. A very nice and quiet place to stay.
Thank you Mary. It was a pleasure to have you here and we look forward to hosting you again, if your travels ever bring you our way. Aaah the Views Inn
This exquisite ambience embraced us with open arms. Erika was the darling of all darlings! She is super organised and portrays Aloha in its full authenticity. Favorite wake up to quality coffee on the deck with the river flowing beneath us, bliss views all round! What a great place to be on the big island...Waimea town near by. East side beaches, the observatory, Hilo and the much admired Pololu Valley all in accessible distances. We will miss this place and hope to return soon ;)
Erika made us feel super welcomed. great location- right in btwn waimea and gorgeous beaches. great views. thanks for making our holiday special!
This was a great place to stay. It was clean and comfortable and Erika was very responsive and a pleasure to book with. The breakfast in the fridge was thoughtful and delicious. The only problem was that we only stayed 1 night, next time we are here we would like to stay for longer.
Well - the views are simply spectacular, and as we stayed in 2 different rooms (treetop suite and dream room), we can affirm this for both of them.
The breakfast is left in your fridge, so you can choose when to have - very convenient if you got home late after stargazing on Mt. Kea and need a lie in.
Erica is a very welcoming and helpful host. She can provide you with very good recommendations for nice restaurants and the best beaches. You may borrow any kind of beach gear you might need - including body boards and snorkelling equipment - so don't bother schlepping all this stuff with you on the plane ....
We had an amazing time. Beautiful B&B with amazing views. Our host Erika was so accommodating. Just a special amazing place! From the bottom of our hearts...Mahalo Nui Loa Erika
"Aaah the Views" is just wonderfull. Very well located in the Waimea region: a must if you're going to visit the north of Big Island. Ericka was an amazing host with great info and tips for us. Her breakfasts were delicious and exactly what we needed to have a great start of the day!

Erika's B&B is wonderful - she's not kidding about the views they are spectacular, with most of the volcanos visible on a clear day, even just from the lanai where she lays out her delicious breakfasts. I had the Garden Room which doesn't have views but is a delightful hideaway with its own front door (shadowed by lush Hawaiian plants) and a little kitchen. The Garden Room has an upstairs which, honestly, is a bit cramped for a creaky 58 year old because of the low ceiling but I slept really well downstairs in the comfy sitting area. Erika herself is a wonderful hostess with a wealth of knowledge about the island that she will generously pour out on request but only on request so you know you can have quiet time if you need it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - not least because I'd like to see Erika again, she's a really nice person. Maybe next time, I'll be early enough to snatch one of the rooms with a view!!
