Let the good times roll. I'm from New Orleans. I work hard, play hard and let life take care of the rest.

Shawn was really responsive to our needs, which was great. The place is 20-30 mins walk from the French Quarter, and maybe 10 mins walk to Magazine St, which is in the Uptown area, with a lot of shops and places to eat and drink. The apartment is an older style place with character, and my friend and I enjoyed staying.
My coworker and I needed a place to crash on the way back to Houston from Atlanta and Shawn's place was fantastic! It's on a quiet corner of the garden district a short walk from the St. Charles streetcar. My coworker had never been to New Orleans before and so it was great for us to be able to ride over to the french quarter and do all of the touristy things you can fit into a brief morning. The space was clean, easy to access, and the decor was charming. Thanks for making what could have been a wasted trip to the city so fun!
Shawn was responsive and let us know how to get into the apartment, which was cooled nicely. The "Hideaway 2" is just out side the edge of the garden district. That didn't bother us much because we walk a lot. What was a problem though was that the place looked very little like the photos. Run down, shabby, dirty. I took pictures because it was so bad (don't know if I can post them here). Most of all, the back door was secured with a post of wood. You could see the day light through the gap. Did not leave us feeling very secure.
I have had four airbnb experiences and this is the first that I felt I had to wear my flip-flops into the shower. People need to be honest.
We had the best time staying at Shawn's! It was 3 blocks from the street car and about 5 from magazine street. Lee felt very comfortable walking The house was cozy and accommodating and very clean. We would absolutely stay there again!!
My girlfriend and I stayed here during our trip to New Orleans in May 2015. Shawn was an excellent host and the apartment was very nice and had all the amenities you could need.
We had an excellent stay here - booking was easy and Shawn was very communicative and fast to reply. The house was easy to find, we had a private drive to park in, and the location was perfect for us. It was a 10-12 minute drive to MidCity, easy 5 minute walk to the St. Charles streetcar line for a straight commute to the French Quarter, scenic 15 minute walk to Commanders Palace and historic LaFayette cemetery. The interior was comfortable, clean, and attractive with charming rough edges. Only minor complaint was having no batteries in the remote and no working TV controls - we don't come to NOLA to watch TV, but it was the Mad Men finale! Would certainly stay here again.
Nice apartment in a good position! Real New Orleans style...
This was our first Airbnb experience and it was good. Shawn responded quickly to the request and when we arrived, the house was cooled off and clean. It's a comfortable 2 BR, 1 Bath. Neighborhood, in Garden District just north of St. Charles, was quiet residential, away from restaurant scene. Parking lot next to the house, but it felt safe enough. Good location, not far from Superdome but easy to get to Magazine St restaurants, Tulane, or downtown.
Enjoyed myself, was very comfortable. I would definitely airbnb there again!
Thanks again Shawn
Great location. Short walk to Avenue Pub, the best place to drink good beer. Easy access to the expressway and other parts of town. The unit is very secure (three different locks) and has ample parking. It is a nice blend of modern style with older touches. My mattress wasn't terribly comfortable, but a proper night in New Orleans should send you right to sleep anyhow. Great place for a couple of guys.
