Bridgette's home had everything I needed and more. Clean, private, comfortable, I felt at home from the moment I arrived. Plus, she had little extras that showed she cared like maps, a guidebook, an umbrella, snorkel gear I could borrow, a beach towel so I didn't have pack my own and even aloe Vera in the fridge in case I came home with a burn. Who does that? She's a pro but not a mother hen. She gave me lots of space and privacy so I could have my own island experience. 5 stars all the way!
The studio and Bird's nest were perfect! Private and spacious with lots of extra amenities, it was a great home base for our time in Kauai. Brigitte was a wonderful host, with lots of advice on places to check out, and was more than willing to answer any questions we had. We felt right at home having coffee every morning in the birds nest or at our personal outdoor seating area. The bakery nearby was delicious and an easy walk, and Kilauea is close to lots of activities on the north shore. Chanti the dog is such a sweetheart and we miss her already! And Brigitte too of course! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and will definitely be back again.
My wife & I stayed at the Bird's Nest which turned out to be a great home base from which to explore the island. Moreover, Brigitte was helpful in orienting us to the island and highlighting places to checkout. She also shared a great recommendation for surf lessons. The accommodation itself felt like a hone with a studio layout and a personal touch to the decor. The one drawback from our stay would definitely be the rooster crowing, and guests should invest in earplugs just in case they're light sleepers. On the plus sound, we were constantly greeted by a Chante, a very friendly four-legged dog.
This place is a gem! Bridgette did everything possible to make our stay perfect -- from loaning us a baby crib, to making a lei for our child's first birthday, giving daily trip suggestions and helping arrange day care. The grounds are meticulously manicured, making it a tropical paradise where we could relax...even with a one-year-old boy. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! One of the greatest advantages is the location in downtown Kilauea, which fit our family's style and needs really well. Mahalo Bridgette for all of your generous and kind hospitality. Max will miss Chanti too!
Brigitte was so sweet and welcoming! She is very kind spirited and was easy to get a hold of for questions. Her space was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We loved the tree house, it is so special! You are located perfectly in the neighborhood within walking distance to yoga, fine dining (the Bistro is so good!), and a wonderful bakery. Brigitte is also a world class massage therapist so make sure you make an appointment for your stay! We can't wait to come back and stay again. Mahalo Brigitte! We miss you already!
Aloha e A Hui Hou :)
Couldn't have picked a better spot to spend the week, we're so glad we picked Kilauea and the Bird's Nest as our base. The studio had everything we needed and the very nearby farmer's markets kept us well-supplied with local produce. Jenny was a helpful and warm stand-in as host while Brigitte was away. Absolutely loved the treehouse and Chanty the dog is such a sweetheart.
Brigitte was out of town during our stay but her wonderful friend Jenny greeted and took care of us. The studio is very basic and minimal, but offers plenty for such a reasonable rate. There were paid extras (renting bikes, using the dryer, etc.) that we didn't take advantage of. It was cloudy when we were on the island so the apartment (located under the stairs shown in the picture) stayed quite dark, compelling us to get out and about. We loved having our coffee in the bird's nest each morning—you have to be able-bodied to access it via the ladder up the tree, though, and sign an extensive waiver to use it at all. Great location relative to the few places to hang out in Kiluea (our favorites were the Bakery and the Bistro). Chantee the dog is a delight. Thanks Brigitte and Jenny (and family)!
We felt at home every day we stayed here! Brigitte was out of town when we visited but were greeted by her friend Jenny who was so friendly and helpful in getting us set up and continued to help us while we stayed there. The studio is beautiful and has that Hawaiian energy you won't get at one of those honeycomb complexes. I especially liked reading the vintage Pidgin book after taking an outdoor shower! The Bird's nest was awesome too! It's the perfect place to share a bottle of wine and have dinner. The location was perfectly situated around the corner from a market place that houses a bakery, bistro/bar among other shops and a farmers market on Thursdays. This place by far was our favorite place to stay on Hawaii. It has everything and then some! P.S We miss Chantee!!!
We had a lovely time while staying at Brigette's place. The apartment was clean and quiet. We borrowed her boogie board and noodle and towels for our trips to the ocean. And her dog is lovely too!
Brigitte's tropical oasis was a wonderful place to stay while we explored Kauai. It is tucked back off of the street and surrounded by beautiful lush tropical gardens. The space is beautifully decorated and we felt very comfortable from the moment we got there. It is very private and the outdoor shower and Banyan tree house make you really feel like your staying in the middle of the jungle. Brigitte and her husband were very friendly, fun and outgoing. It is definitely one of our favorite spots that we've stayed during our Hawaiian adventure. Cannot recommend the Banyan Tree house enough...it is lovely. Thanks for the hospitality and we hope to be back one day! Mahalo
You guys are A+A+A+ guest. Hope you find your Kaua'i Oasis soon, you will never regret buying a piece of land here. .
Mahalo for the pint of Chocolate Ice Cream. Yummm :)
Brigitte and her husband were great guests. They were very quiet and considerate and clean. We didn't meet them because they only stayed a night but we'd recommend them to any host.
Brigitte and Guilliame are free spirited, down to earth, amazing friends and fantastic hosts! Their "tree house" is a great place to watch sunset and have a cocktail!
I know Brigitte very well and can say that she is extremely trustworthy, responsible, clean, organized and has one of the most unique homes in Kauai. We love Brigitte!
This is a wonderful place to stay, great location in Kilauea town. Close to amazing beaches, hiking, waterfalls, cafes, restaurants, stores but still peaceful and quiet. Watch spectacular sunsets from the best tree house you will find. Brigitte is a wonderful friend, host and truly captures the spirit of Aloha. Enjoy your stay!
