Our hosts were simply perfect.
It was definetely one of the best stay/holidays I had through Airbnb.
Very well located and central. The place was great and spacious.
I like the decoration, which by the way was made mostly by the hands of our hosts. They are artists.
The only negative part about the apartment is the hot water. The balloon holding the water is quite small so you'll have to wait a bit before taking a shower if someone already has took one.
But other than that, the kitchen is well equipped and they were water, coffee, tea at our disposal.
They were helpful and very friendly, always available.
Prior to our arrival, they contacted us to let us to send more details about the itinerary from the airport to their place (which is direct with the subway). They were very flexible on the hours of our arrival and departure.
They even invited us to a local bar nearby to have a drinks a talk about Athens, Greece, and life in general.
We really appreciated and enjoyed this moment spent with the locals. They even gave us great adresses.
Thanks again, this place was lovely. Ideal if you want to spend a good time in Athens and go out at night
This flat is spacious, with a table and kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and separate toilet. The location is great, vey close to the metro and short walk from Agora etc. Versaweiss were very helpful. The taverna across the road has great food, and around the corner is a street full of cafe. Make sure you visit the bakery recommended by Varsaweiss, it is the best bakery I have ever visited.
A wonderful and spacious apartment in the heart of Monastiraki and close to everything, especially a quaint little family owned Taverna just across the street where we had the best food during our stay. Our hosts did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The apartment with its quirky artistic touches had a really nice feel and was most suitable for our family. We would stay again and recommend it highly to others.
For those of you interested in brevity, I would definitely stay at Versaweiss again. (Read on for the "why.")
Thanos and Dimitris are amazing hosts and more than that genuinely good guys. They were able to have the place ready for me and my last minute reservation request, gave excellent directions, greeted me upon my arrival, and had fast wireless internet. They gave a brief overview of the surrounding area and also provided a map that indicated where I could find shopping, food, drinks, and even a laundrymat. They are great guys to just sit and talk to and when they saw me returning from a walk around the city, invited me to share food and drinks with them at a cmall spot right next to the apartment. They are artists and invited me to see an exhibit in which they were featured (unfortunately due to my short stay and the showing closing soon, I was unable to attend.) They are very relaxed and worked with me when my plans had me fly out in the late afternoon. They also offered to mail gifts and souvenirs back for me when I missed the closing of the post office so that I wouldn't have to worry about continuing to take up valuable luggage space. Enough can't be said about how welcoming and accomadating these two are.
The location is a very short walk from the metro and only about a 15 minute walk from the Acropolis. The walk takes you through many shops and restaurants and feels like much less. The apartment is off the beaten path in what you can consider an urban/downtown area. Being about 50m off two main streets, it provided both quiet when you wwant it and easy access to the excitement of Athens. The apartmet has two very large rooms with two beds in each and displays some of their own original art. I would not hesitate to stay at Versaweiss again.
Gran localización y apartamento grande y espacioso.
Versa's place was artistic and very modern. She decorated the place tastefully. Everything was in place and meticulously though thru. The location was fabulous, literally a few 100 mts from Monistraki metro station - directly on the airport line. Versa was very accommodative in our check in process, our flight got delayed. Versa organized for somebody to come and open the place up late into the night. Overall great experience.
This apartment personified truth in advertising! It truly was spacious, with a large living room, a generous kitchen, and two individually air-conditioned bedrooms. Dimitris and Thannos are two serious, working artists, and living in their apartment is like living in a contemporary art installation. Both were personable, welcoming hosts. As advertised, the hotel is a couple of blocks away from the Monastiraki metro station. Many good restaurants are available nearby at the other side of the square served at that stop, though they are expensive. Many tourist sites are nearby and easily accessible. The modest taverna across the street from the apartment is worth a try.
Both, Dimitris and Thanos are very friendly, nice and helpful. Their place is excellent located in the centre of Athens, near the metro station Monastiraki (direct connection to the airport), big, sunny, beautiful in an artistic way, cozy, the whole experience is fantastic! I do recommend it for longer or short stays in Athens.
