My husband and I had a GREAT experience with Elisa. The place was clean, close to everything as she stated and her cat (Nina) was good company. Thank you Elisa for your hospitality we enjoyed our stay at your place.
As my first Airbnb experience, Elisa was very easy to communicate with and I found her home to be cozy and inviting. The apartment is super easy to find, as it is only three blocks from the subway Red Line's "Central" stop on Magazine Street & Franklin (note that Boston's public transit is VERY easy to maneuver). Her cute black kitty Nina will keep you company while you're in the main living area but doesn't bother you in your room. The bed is comfy (slept two easily) and the room is a good size, although those more sensitive to street noise may need to close the windows. Overall, I had a lovely time at Elisa's place and would stay there again without hesitation.
Disconcerting experience! The place is well located, simple but generally clean with a cute cat and Elisa seems quite pleasant. I had a large suitcase that Elisa said would be ok to leave at her place for the day after we checked out, as I had until 5pm until leaving Boston. The night before our final (second) night she said she was leaving early the next day to go out of town and that we had to leave by 9am which was "a compromise" because she had wanted to leave at 7am (!) And that it wouldn't work to keep the suticase there. Had I known she would go back on her word we would have made other plans, as it caused me some hassle in time and money finding an alternative place for this luggage. She also mentioned that there was brown gunk in the kitchen, though we hadn't used it so not only did we expereince an unusual hour of departure but felt insulted as well. We are world travelers and have stayed in all kinds of situations but were taken aback by this. We also suggest she let potential guests know they bring towels (which we hadn't known). We will look next time for a more mature host.
Elisa was a gracious hostess, friendly but honoring my need for privacy. Clean, comfy room and bath. Easy accessto T system and restaurants. I would stay there again but not in summer - there is no AC.
We felt very comfortable staying with Elisa. She was very helpful and went out of her way to provide us with extra information about the area. The location is great, with easy access to the T line and plenty of shops. The room is sunny and clean, and the bed very comfortable. Of course, we can't forget her friendly cat, Nina. She made us feel right at home. If we ever come to Boston again, we'd check with Elisa first for accommodations!
First off Elisa is super friendly, laid back and has an air of non pretentious cool to her. My boyfriend and I ran into a large snag while we stayed at her place. She was more than accommodating and understanding about it. The apartment is a centrally located, sunny, modest-chic furnished, ultra-clean place. I could go on with my high regards for Elisa and her apartment but it will suffice to simply say I highly recommend renting from Elisa.
We stayed for four nights, and the location was great... right next to the T. It was also easy to walk from there.
The bedroom was perfect, with everything we needed.
Elisa was helpfull, really nice, and had a cool cat.
We definitely recommend her place!!!
Elisa is a great host, besides being an exceptional artist, blogger and cook, she'll give you the lowdown on what cultural events are worth seeing and advise you on the various cuisines in the five Boroughs. Elisa is a funny and helpful person, you'll enjoy spending time at her place.
