The apartment was as pictured. Small, but clean and perfectly comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The apartment was conveniently located to the Wan Chai MTR. We found some good food in the area, and a really good coffee shop (Coffee Academics) down the street.
Although I didn't get to meet Sweetie personally, she was very nice and accommodating in our whatsapp conversations. She provided a detailed guide (with map) on how to get to her place via cab, mtr or bus. Also provided info like places for leaving luggage. Very helpful. The man who picked us up at meet up point was very patient to wait for us even though we were late. (We missed our bus stop.)
The place was exactly the same as in the photos. I loved that we have light coming in through the big windows. The couch is super comfy, almost wanted to sleep there. Loved the bed and comforters. Clean towels. Lots of toilet paper. Clean place. I enjoy the view out the window too, feels very Hong Kong. lol.
There were 5 of us girls who stayed. It was just the right size for us. Maybe one more person could still squeeze in. The place looks new. The amenities were great - water heater, washing machine, fridge. We didn't use the electric stove. Loved the different shower options.
The location is beyond perfect, it's behind a main road where there's a mall and wan chai MTR entrance/exit less than a minute away. Don't expect a posh building though, this is typical of Hong Kong residences. Building is beside is a Thai-Chinese restaurant, across is a fruit stall, and on the same block as a thriving market (Wan Chai market et al). We stayed in February before Chinese New Year and afternoon until evening, there's a street market in addition to the usual. Everything is a stone's throw away, small local Chinese stores like bakery, dimsum store, convenience store, thrift shop... KFC Mc Donald's. It's also less than a minute walk to one of the tram stations (O'Brien/Flemming).
We're walking distance to a church, running trails, and a bit longer walk to Wan Chai ferry and Golden Bauhinia square. We also walked to Times Square!
Very comfortable stay in a clean hostel.
Meeting the host on the meeting place was easy. The maps & instructions was accurate. The location of the apartment was great, a 10-15 minute walk to the bars & restaurants in Central. The MTR was a close walk. The apartment is exactly what i expected, it's what you see in the photos. It was small like most of the apartments in Hong Kong, but it's good enough for a few days stay. It was clean, quite and had hot water. The only complain i would have is we had to walk around the aprtment slowly, we had to walk around barefoot & tip-toeing cause our downstairs neighbor complained about the noise our foot steps made. We weren't around much in the apartment so that was okay. But i can't
No check-in service. And no instructions for mainland guests to turn on the hot water for shower. And beds are too small to accommodate 4 adults. Not recommended. Only location is good. Agree with Sally in the previous comments that owner's brother was rude on the phone.
good service. good location. just the beds are a bit too hard.
The place was as described, cosy and close to Times Square. It had many restaurants within walking distance. I had no interaction with the host except for organising to exchange the keys on arrival. I was surprised to find that soap and shampoo were not provided . The kitchen was basic with no microwave which made it hard to reheat any leftovers. Overall, I would select this apartment for its proximity to Times Square if this is a prime requirement. The experience would be enhanced if the host could provided some basic necessities.
We took this unit for a 46 day period. For that period of time it was an acceptable size in a location that suited us. The sleeping accommodation consisted of one double and one single bed with 3 fold-up floor mattresses. I cannot see how 6 persons could fit into such a small space.
