My name is Adam Kronenberg. I am a middle school teacher from New Orleans, LA. I love the outdoors and adventure in addition to exploring the city with my bike.
Adam's a gracious host. Offered me a ride to and from the airport. He has a real passion for the city, and can give you solid advice. We got along well, and so he invited me to tag along with him socially, which was much appreciated because I was traveling on my own. The location is great with a bicycle - which Adam offered for me to use gratis. Less than ten minutes to the French Quarter and overall the entire city is accessible by bike from his place. Of course, if you don't have a car and don't like to ride a bike, then it may be worth it to stay somewhere closer to the heart of the city.
Adam's accommodations are spare. The house itself is in minor disrepair (e.g. bathroom door needs to be jerry-rigged to close). There are no solid doorways between rooms, so privacy is not complete. Personally, none of that bothers me, but understandably might be an issue for some; if extreme comfort, privacy, and aesthetics are important for you to enjoy yourself.
In sum: Great guy, great location if you like to see a city on a bike, great place to crash. Not advised if you are looking for a hotel-like experience.
