I am an artist and musician so I travel a lot with my band and for various creative projects. My apartment is really great and I seek responsible people with good energy to keep it occupied while I travel.
Great apartment and great host :)
Micki is the most hospitable host I've come across during my stays in NYC or anywhere for that matter. He has excellent communication skills, is very understanding and is extremely flexible. His apartment is set in a great part of Williamsburg and is close to awesome restaurants (try 5 leaves), stores, and night life. Everything was set up for me the way he outlined in his e-mails and his apartment is beautiful with great sunlight and really intriguing artwork (not to mention one of the best record collections if you dig industrial music). I could go on, but Micki is a great guy with a great place and if everyone on AirBnB were like him, hotels wouldn't exist.
Micki was really attentive when we arrived, he even offered to help us with the bags (nice gesture after 6 hours of flight). He explained the apartment clearly and had everything set up for us. We had new sheets and towels which was great.
Its a very comfortable apartment with lots of space. I read on the comments someone complained about the noise which we found non existant, my girlfriend is a light sleeper and she had complete night sleeps every night we were there, even during the morning the apt feels quiet.
The bathroom was very clean and everything worked fine there.
There is a lot of random stuff but it gives the place a VERY special theme.
He was out of the city while we were there but it was very easy and fast to get in touch with him when we had questions.
Location, location, location. There are LOTS of places to grab some food at any hour. Many delis and even a small organic market 24hrs. There was a nice pizza place 2 blocks away which never failed us.
The subway station is almost around the corner and we could be in manhattan in less than 15 minutes and almost anywhere in 20-30min.
MIcki's apartment was charming and we really enjoyed our stay. He was an attentive host who very quickly responded to any questions we had. Location perfect- minutes to Bedford Ave and great bars just down the street like 5 Leaves. Highly recommended.
The apartment was reasonably clean and spacious. Loads of random stuff all around the place and yet there was not a single lame item bought from Wallmart. Nice collection of records as well. I'd definitely stay there again...
Great apartment in awesome location!
I arranged for my daughter and some friends to stay at Micki's. He was a wonderful, accommodating host. He made it easy for the exchange of keys and responded right away to any questions they had. It was a very cold, blustery week in NYC and the only thing the girls would have changed was to have brought warmer pajamas!
Micki's place was a really great place to stay. Clean, stylish and cool, we had an enjoyable week there. Everything you would need of a flat located in a great part of Brooklyn. He happens to own some of the greatest psych records that my lugs have listened to
My friends and I spent a delightful week at Micki's apartment. It was spacious, clean and centrally located near some great shops, bars, cafes and the subway. Arriving, as we did, in the middle of a heat wave, the air conditioning in the apartment was a particular bonus. Although we didn't meet in person, as Micki was away at the time, he left us with everything we could need for our stay and was a generous host. We will definitely be keeping this apartment in mind for our next visit. Thanks again Micki!
We had a great stay at Micki's- the apartment is comfortable and in a perfect location for exploring Brooklyn and the rest of the city. Would definately recommend this place to anyone keen on staying in this area.
Micki's apartment is what I dream mine will one day be! Very spacious with lots of light and beautiful artwork, you might be tempted to stay in and skip the rest of your NY sightseeing! It is highly accessible to several public transport options, and though it is located off a main busy road (easy for getting cabs), the location in the rear of the building, overlooking a garden, makes it very quiet and peaceful, even with the windows open. I would highly recommend his place to anyone in NY for business or leisure, and Micki always does everything in his power to accommodate his guests needs. Very communicative and professional.
Micki's place, adorned with antiques and objects d'arts, is charming and in a very convenient neighborhood which is perfectly lively without being loud. This rate is a steal for this amount of space & privacy.
