I'm a PhD student at CMU in the department of mechanical engineering. Full of life and looking forward to host cool people from all around the world.

This was my third time staying with Melis. I didn't get to see her, but one of her greatest strengths as a host is communication. She is very easy to get a hold of and continues to be an outstanding host in an outstanding neighborhood.
Big, comfortable room in a central area of Pittsburgh. Melis was a great host!
Just what I needed. A place to crash. Only a few blocks from Forbes and Murray to catch the 61 down to CMU/Oakland.
I stayed in the small room, and it was as it is seen on the pictures, pretty accurate. The host Melis was very friendly and easy to communicate with. I was visiting CMU while in Pittsburgh, and the house is fairly close to the campus - around a 25-30 min walk. I would recommend this listing to those solo travelers visiting CMU/Pittsburgh out there.
Very homey apartment in a great location and cute neighborhood! Nice big rooms and lots of seating. Wish we had been there in the summer to enjoy the front porch. Lots of parking for my friends driving in from other states for the big birthday celebration!
Great host, worked with me for a last minute booking with a super late night check in.
Melis is a nice host and very accommodating. The apartment has a good location and its easy to explore the neighborhood.
I stayed at Melis's place for 3 nights and had a really pleasant staying. Melis was a cool host. I arrived late with the bus and she left me instruction on how to get to the house and how to find things in the house. We met and chatted a couple of times and it was fun.The neighbourhood is so lovely and peaceful. Had a good time in Pittsburgh. Thanks a bunch Malis.
I have mixed feelings about my stay. On one hand, Melis was a kind host providing a towel and some bathing liquids - clean and fresh bedding - and also let me lock up my bike on the porch. On the other, the night before I started my first day at work (and previous nights) the washer-tumbler right next to my room was turned on at 10.30pm which would be very loud. That, and the loud conversations in the room adjacent, and banging outside my room, made for many disruptions to my sleep.
The room itself (small room) was fairly satisfactory, though I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has anything more than a couple of rucksacks because it is too small for more than that. Also, I didn't feel very secure with my possessions because the room comes with no lock. I would say this room is more suitable for students or people with few commitments, because I had to leave a day early to get a good sleep. I also found it a bit offputting to have to pretend I wasn't renting the place because it seems the landlord doesn't know about it!
Otherwise, I was rarely disturbed in the day and the location was extremely convenient for exploring the neighbourhood.
Melis was very responsive via email/text before we arrived and throughout our weekend stay. She promptly provided us with a key upon arrival and was always willing to answer whatever questions we had. Her place is also located squarely in a pleasant residential neighborhood filled with good eateries and at a very manageable distance from more attractions throughout the city.
Melis only stayed with us one night and was very self-sufficient and quiet. Though it was a brief stay, Melis is a perfect guest and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to other hosts!
This was the second time Melis and Chala stayed with us. We barely saw them and we welcome them back.
Glenn and I enjoyed hosting Melis. It is always a pleasure meeting other airbnb hosts! Melis communicated well prior to arrival, was respectful of our space and left the room tidy. We recommend her as a guest!
Unfortunately, Melis gave us only 12 hours notice that she wanted to stay at our place. I told her all our rooms were booked and she persisted that she had overbooked her house in Pittsburgh and really needed a place to stay. I felt bad and offered her the pull out sofa in what is our TV room. We don't rent this room out, and I didn't have our housekeeper clean that room because, well, it's our TV room and not a guest room. In any case, Melis was dissatisfied with her stay and so left us a big mess to clean up and a nasty review. We regret agreeing to accommodate her.
Melis was a very great guest. Glad you got your VISA!
it was such a pleasure to have Melis in our apartment for 2 days.
she is very nice, considerate... she was the perfect guest. we would love to have her back here again.
Melis was ultra sweet! She made the key swap very easy and the apartment looked great upon her departure. Deffinitely rent to her!
Great guest! Easy to work with, responsive and very friendly.
I explained that the loft is not a private space and she complained when she got here. She stayed with two her two male companions and left dirty tissues by the bed.
