We run a small Theatre company, Happenstance Theater. Our house is like a 19th century boarding house, well kept, with many artists and intellectuals passing through.
We had a great time at Sabrinas! Our goal in visiting the area was to give our eleven yr. old grandson a good firs visit the DC area. Staying at Sabrinas was perfect for helping us accompolish our goal. We were able to fix our breakfast at "home" take the Metro to DC, tour for the day, then return "home" by Metro, to a beautiful evening spent in the lovely farmhouse in the park. We loved the feeling of the peacefull evenings without a TV in the room. We were able to engage our grandson in conversation about what we had seen each day and what we had learned.
I am certain that the 19th century feel of the house colored the experince for us and our grandson. We were very content just to relax and talk, talk, and talk about our day and what we wanted to do the next day. Our visit would not have been the same if we had stayed in a busy motel with tv and all the modern hype.
