The apartment was everything we hoped it would be for a great weekend of exploring Portland. Amazing dinner spots, coffee shops, and a grocery store to stock up on essentials are all within blocks of the place, in case you never want to leave the amazing neighborhood. But if you do, there's bus lines all around that will take you wherever you need to go. The apartment itself was extremely comfortable and inviting. A comfortable bed and a great shower were perfect after our long days out on the town. Suzan was a great host and emailed me with fantastic recommendations of places to eat...I'm just bummed we couldn't try them all!
Wonderful neighborhood, cute little condo. We had a lot of fun wandering up and down the streets, checking out the houses, restaurants, and shops in the area. Suzan was very accommodating and had some great suggestions.
Suzan was an amazingly accommodating host. We arrived to a sparkly apartment, with fresh Stumptown coffee and wine to be consumed, fancy smelling soaps, comfy clean towels and sheets, and I'm sure lots of other details that are escaping my memory at the moment. Originally we were set to stay just 2 nights, but we quickly realized that getting out of town to camp without a reservation would be a bit more hectic than we realized given that it was 4th of July weekend. We asked Susan for a couple more nights and she generously accommodated us, even though one of those days she would have to drive to go to work to and from Mnt. Hood! And on top of that offered to let us camp on another property she owns! So nice. We chose to stick around Portland and take part in the Independence day festivities. We rented bikes and explored the city, and as someone who wasn't particularly familiar with what Portland had to offer I was pleased to realize how wonderful the S.E. Neighborhood of Portland is. The condo is near all sorts of wonderful things, and it's a relatively quick bike ride to all the other neighborhoods. We ate at the pod on 12th and Hawthorne a bunch of times, Pok Pok, and a few other places I don't know the names of. Grab a bike map and follow it, it makes getting around the neighborhoods a breeze! Thanks Suzan for being so nice to us! I hope I can come back again soon.
Susan was a delightful guest. Kind, thoughtful and a pleasure to host. Highly recommended!
I did not meet Suzan as i was on vacation, but i heard nothing but good things.
Fue muy linda huesped inmediatamente formo parte de la familia. Muy educada. 100% recomendable
We had a very good communication all along and when we stopped by just to say hello we were welcomed as if we had know each other for long. What a pleasant family, we felt good about this rental from the beginning.
Suzan and Ray were very appreciative guests who unfortunately got terrible rain and missed out on seeing Ireland with a little bit of sunshine...
But they made the best of it and met a local poet instead. I can recommend them to everybody!
Suzan and Ray were super guests. They were excellent communicators and kept me up to date with their travelling arrangements at all times, they were careful, clean and considerate of the house and are welcome back anytime, I highly recommend Suzan and Ray as a great couple to host
Suzan and Ray were wonderful guests, my mother was very pleased having them at her house, She specifically told me to review them as a very friendly and easy going couple.
Luz and I were very happy and privileged to have had Susan and Ray stay with us for the week. With all the other guests staying at Casa Luz at the same time we spent hours chatting and sharing stories. Ray helped us especially with his knowledge on plants and we appreciated Susans fabulous guitar playing. We could not have asked for better guests!! Wow!
