Very big and comfortable apartment with big kitchen and nice balcony (beautiful view on Dubrovnik bay). Very friendly host!
Lovely host and beautiful view :)
While I didn't get to meet Antonija in person, she was very good at responding by email and through the AirBnB site. The directions were excellent (I hired a car to get there from the airport). As an aside, I would highly recommend hiring a car to get around the new town and to do a day trip or 2 to Montenegro - a 2 hour drive.
Antonija's brother Marijo met me and had maps and a bus timetable all lined up for me. The number 3 bus runs every 30 minutes and is a 2 minute walk from the house. Marijo and his mother (who does not speak English) were incredibly hospitable. The apartment itself is modern and beautifully appointed. The rooms are large and share a large lounge and a balcony with a beautiful view down to the new port. A lovely location and great people. Thanks to the Rados family for hosting me. Highly recommended in terms of location, people and place.
Nice apartment with amazing view on the port! Not far from the center (but you need a car to get there); unpretentious but with all you might need
Overall, our stay was very comfortable! The language barrier was challenging but our host was able to get her message across. She was nonetheless very kind and made us feel very much at home. Our room was as advertised and having a private bathroom to ourselves was very nice. Finding our way to and from the apartment for the first time was challenging but once we found the staircase to the main road, everything went smoothly. Once on the main road, the grocery store and main bus station are within a 5 minute walking range. There's also a bus stop down the street from the apartment which goes straight to the Old Town and passes by the bus station which is very practical.
We had a wonderful stay: the apartment was very spacious, beautifully built (much nicer than on the photos), and offered stunning views of the bay. Parking was very easy, even for our two cars (we were a company of six) and the bus stop was about 2 minutes from the apartment. The hosts were also very nice and gave us some helpful tips on the neighborhood.
All in all, it was a great vacation!
Very nice appartment although the nicest part is the huge living room. So if you don't book all three bedrooms you'll share it with other travellers.
Antonija was a great host! My friend and I were a little disappointed when we were given a room without access to the balcony with the view of the city, and Antonija was very nice and let us enjoy the balcony until the other guests had arrived. We sat out there for hours, it is impossible to get bored of the view. The room we stayed at was very clean and nice and the bathroom and facilities were all great as well!
